New NRA ad -- Texas Law Enforcement Officer [raises right to self-defense against home invaders]
NRA Gun Ban Obama Site ^ | 10/6/08

The NRA is up with a new ad that *finally* raises Obama's vote in favor of allowing the state of Illinois to prosecute citizens for using a handgun in self-defense against a criminal breaking into their home.

A very good ad.

TOPICS: Politics/Elections

IMO this is the most important issue NRA can raise. Too bad the Stupid Party is too stupid to put some resources into it.

Great ad .... doubt if there is any chance it will play on the Nobama dish network though. /sarc

Wouldn’t it be fun if some technogeek could sneak it on there?

Boy when he says “defeat Obama” he looks like he certainly means it.

BTW, everyone, Bambi’s latest story is that he supports the Second Amendment but recognizes the right of “crime-ravaged” cities to impose reasonable restrictions. Got that?

Now let’s look at what the vote mentioned in the ad was about. It was inspired by an ordinance passed by the town of Wilmette IL banning handguns. When a resident there used a handgun to defend against a burglar, charges were filed against him. The state legislature proposed a bill to overturn local ordinances like the one in Wilmette. Obama opposed it ... IOW, he favored allowing Wilmette to ban handguns.

So based on the line he’s been feeding us, Wilmette must be one of those crime-ravaged places. Here are its vitals:

Median home price: $859,000
Median household income $118,313
Violent Crime 2 on a 10 point scale (below US average)

Another day, another BS explanation from Kamp Bambi.

Are these ads being played on TV in certain states or are they only on the net?

The ads are on TV. The Bambi campaign has sent a letter to stations running them threatening legal action/loss of their FCC licenses.

All the details should be at the gunbanobama.com site.
