I just want to give a hardy congratulations to Jim and John on the website's performance tonight.
Throughout one of the biggest political nights of the year, the site's response was snappy, and I never once had any delay in refreshing or viewing posts/threads. The live debate thread was flying good and fast.
Guys - coming from a fellow tech-head your recent hard work on server and database upgrades is appreciated immensely.
THE CHECK IS IN THE MAIL!
Excellent work gents...
Damn straight!
Everything was fast and error-free.
Now if only JimRob could have fixed Mr. Brokaw.
Agreed.
Thanks a bunch

Agreed here. It went wonderfully well. It is FAST!
Thank ya John! Thank ya Jim!
I agree!
Kudos! Everyone complains when FR is slow. How come this thread only has 34 pings!?!?
Yep I agree. That’s why I started this thread. I work in IT and I know fully well that you only hear about it when it doesn’t work.
I wanted these guys to know at least some of us appreciate the blood, sweat, and love they pour into this great site!
Thank you Jim and John for this forum. I would have gone completely insane years ago were it not for this place and these friends and you guys!
My new tagline says it, fullchoma:We come to FR to pool our skepticism. And the reason we need to do so is simple:
The wisest and most cautious of us all frequently gives credit to stories which he himself is afterwards both ashamed and astonished that he could possibly think of believing . . .It is indeed refreshing that FR has new servers delivering crisp performance. It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity,
and they very seldom teach it enough. -Adam Smith
