I would have thought the answer self-evident, but Roger Simon adds some nuance. Among other instances, he refers to Obama's apparent membership in the socialist New Party:
And now we learn of yet another strange obfuscation or omission. In 1996, Obama was apparently a member of the Chicago “New Party,” a now defunct socialist political party of some stripe or other.
There’s nothing wrong with being a socialist. I called myself one for the better part of twenty years. Millions of people have and many still do. But there is something very wrong with hiding who you are or who you were from the electorate—especially if you want to be President of the United States. Yet that seems to be a habit of Mr. Obama’s, with the collusion of the press. To my knowledge, no one in the mainstream media has begun to inquire into the details of Obama’s curiously unreported years at Columbia and Harvard, although much could be relatively easily ascertained. Obama himself has not been remotely forthcoming about them.
My guess is that we'll learn quite a bit more about Obama once the election is safely over.

On the other hand, it is easy to find MSM articles in the last 24 hours that mention Palin and the Alaskan Independence Party .
This difference in media treatment between the two tickets is almost spooky.
It's outright propaganda in every sense of the word. I've never seen anything like it. We all knew they were clearly biased when they kissed Clinton's ass for eight years, but this is ridiculous!!
The MSM has been curiously uncurious about the idea of doing any investigative reporting on Barack Obama.
For some silly reason, it triggers an extremely random thought from a poem by Shel Silverstein:
“Who’s keeping score with the scorekeeper’s wife while the scorekeeper’s out keeping score.”
I have no idea how it ties in with the topic at hand, but it made me laugh a little.

Your 100% correct it is propaganda and it is nothing short of a non-violent coup attempt. I’m old and have never seen anything like it, but I will say I have no intention of living peacefully in a Communist country.
It may be “spooky” to you, but it is business as usual with anyone who has watched this process since Nixon’s Checkers speech. The MSM is liberal, elitist, condescending and totally enamored with all things socialist and “progressive” Any “news” that is contrary or would put a bad or questionable light on “their guy” is squashed and snuffed. If it still makes it “out” then spin it as a non consequential story of some “right wing nutcase”. If it still lingers, then decry it as a “last gasp effort” or “grasping at straws” of a “failed campaign of smears”............
The Press consider themselves intellectuals. ‘Intellectual’ club membership requires belief that 1. Socialism is a wonderful idea that has never been put into practice in the right way, 2. Europeans are more sophisticated than Americans, and therefore emulating them is a sign of sophistication, 3. Selfishness, prejudice, and ignorance among American whites is the root cause of all the social problems in US society, 4. Religion is truly the ‘opiate of the masses’, and is destructive, 5. The opinions of Ivy league liberals are the most erudite, progressive, and correct opinions one can encounter....... The list goes on and on.
If liberals will not deal honestly with the leftist Obama, is there any reason to respect them?

The reporters are helping Obama because almost all of them are liberal. A 1992 survey of journalists said that 80% of them voted for Clinton, and 15% of them voted for Bush.
Obama's election will complete the cultural revolution of the late '60's - of which these yo-yo's are all graduate students.
It's in their nature.

What do you use to wrap dead fish?
What do you use to housebreak puppies?
What do you use to put under the litter box?
What do you use to line the box for new puppies and/or kittens?
Who cleans up 0bama's mess(es)?
They want a story, excitement, to stir the pot...

That will work only for a minority candidate. But you’re right, it is the trump card for all criticisms, “You’re a racist!”..................

i have seen race card used more this election than any other i can remember
But then again “the one” can only win this as a race thingy
OJ is playing the “race card”. Sharpton is playing the “race card”. Pretty soon, the public will get so tired of the “race card” that it won’t work anymore..........
I have been tired of it for years, and I believe main street America is tired also. But the dims are so stupid they will continue to play the card and will lose in the process.
