Obama purchases half hour of primetime on CBS, also in talks with FOX, NBC... DEVELOPING...

It will probably be a half hour of celebrity appearances and various performances. It will be an effort to show how hip and in touch he is with “main stream” America and how cool people (celebrities) love him.
If he goes that route, then McCain can hit back with how show boating is not appropriate in a time of such economic struggle.
Otherwise, Obama is just going to make a half hour long speech, and in that case, there will be no need to respond at all. The crowd that he is after now, will be so tired of him by Nov. 4th, that the novelty that made him attractive to many Americans in the first place will completely wear off.
McCain doesn’t have the cash to buy equal time
Does he need the cash? They have to give equal time. What does that mean.

Has anyone looked deep into the life of Obama’s mother? Besides her bio as far as marriages, etc. has anyone looked into her associations?
Who were her friends besides the son a supposed Kenyan goat herder. WHo did she associate with? Did she have any type of convictions? Was she a part of any of the radical protests in the 60’s?
I am going to look into that. If anyone has any type of info (confirmed or otherwise) freepmail me. I need all the leads I can get.
This stock market mess doesn’t help. You could do a chart and McCain’s numbers seem to dive in lockstep with the market.
Yet, no way no how is it “over.” In fact, that’s part of the Obama MO... they did it with Hillary too.. Gave the air of inevitability, like Hillary should just stand aside for That One.. yet she beat him repeatedly during those final weeks BECAUSE SHE WOULD NOT GIVE UP.

This may be counter-productive. Only the Kool-Aid types will watch it, and those whose show(s) get ‘bumped’ by the paid political broadcast will be pi$$ed.

On a common sense level how is Barry supposed to implement all his grand socialist fantasies when he buries the economy. Maybe he is that naive to think the American people will just take it and open their wallets. We have a big country where the bureaucracy is in even sorrier shape than the private sector. Even with expropriating funds from big business the American ethos is not one of working in conjunction with Uncle Sam so we can persecute our fellow citizens. Sorry but I am not much a conspiracy theorist buying into that American will just roll over and alllow fascism. If Zero got in office, Rush will still be heard coast to coast 12-3pm, our economy will recover and in 4 years we can squeeze this little pimple out of national consciousness and relegate him as the worst prez worthy of supplanting Millard Filmore.
Sadly, I think you’re right. Perot led for a while in 1992, in no small part due to his oft-mocked infomercials. Obama’s team is going to look at their polling data, identify the ticket’s weaknesses among voters (issue weaknesses, character weaknesses(HA!), etc), and then engineer the half-hour such that it’s targeted to that specific audience. In a close race, sadly, this could provide the margin of victory.
I’m going to have to buy some more ammo while I can.
He's not going to be on until Oct. 29th at 8 p.m. I'd bet he won't get too many folks to watch on a week night. Besides, a lot can happen between then and now. I hope he's wasting his money.
