There have been attempts in the past to require a photo ID at the polling place, but the ACLU (big surpsrise huh?) Sued to end it saying it violated the right to commit election frauld. Ok they didn’t word it that way but you get the point.

Read this and keep a barf bag at the ready, just in case:

You know they are in trouble when they have to commit voter fraud in Conn! One of the most liberal states.

Laura is educating Bill O. on ACORN, Ayers, Chavez and the connection to Barry. Bill was so quick to defend Barry but Laura wouldn't have it—brava, Laura!

Not sure how it plays out for the day of voting but I suspect it affects the #’s when they are assigning portions for the various polls (ie Zogby, Rasmussen, Gallup)> They have been giving the Dem's a higher number of people in the polls because they have more registered than republicans.

Sign em up, get those absentee written ballots. Sit around the old beer hall table and fill them all in for Osama Hussein Obama and mail em in.

I believe it’s 105% of eligible voters are registered to vote, but it’s still too many :)

I grew up on the Southside of Indianapolis myself (a lot of family still living in Indy or nearby too).

The last time I voted, I pulled out my CDL just to get a reaction. The polling volunteers acted like I had pulled radioactive waste out of my wallet. “No, no...we don’t want to see THAT!”

Most of these democrat counties don’t doany cross-checking.

Yep, but in Replican counties, the rules get applied....my Dad died at the end of August last year and since he and Mom were on "permanent absentee/mail vote" status, it didn't take long -- because we had a November election -- to find that he was off the rolls.

I'd have been rather pissed off if the registrar had indeed sent him a ballot (even tho I might have been slightly tempted to let him pull the lever one final time....)

>"o do real people then apply for absentee ballots? or do they go to the polls on election day and vote say 10 times as one of the fake names?">

Both! They "keep the polls open" untill they get enough "votes" to "win".

My mom had an absentee ballot in 2004. She filled it out and mailed it in; then got sick two weeks later and died within three days of the election. I didn’t contact officials — figured she was alive when she voted and that was good enough.

Being dead after you cast a vote is one thing. Being dead while you cast the vote is another thing entirely.

Otherwise all their efforts just pad the registered voters list in each of these states.

So you have a neighborhood precinct with 1500 homes, and 1200 prior voter cards of which less than 500 were signed off as voted in the last election. This time you find there are over 2500 cards, and in looking you see false names and false addresses. How much time does it take to research all of the new (unvoted and therefor unsigned) cards in your precinct? How much does it cost to do that? You determine that many of the new cards are false; who does the investigation, and how much will that cost to bring the falsehood to court and prosecute the perpetrators?

It works by OVERLOADING the system, costing time and treasure that the taxpayers have to fund. That's you and me baby!

Drop in here and do some research among the links of The CLOWARD-PIVEN STRATEGY ^ -- they laid it all out in lavender, and we're paying the price!

Phone calls were made to the Feds yesterday concerning voting irregularities on Long Island. We’ll see if anything comes of it.

I think tey should advertise it widely that anyone registered by ACORN (limited to this year?) must contact the local registration body/board of elections to confirm their registration. Contact must be made in person, with ID. Otherwise, no vote.

I also think a photo ID should be mandatory for voting - one that agrees with the voter records.

Just my $.02, of course.

I don’t know where you live in CA, but where I lived until 3 years ago, you always had to show an ID. I had known the woman who ran the voting for our precinct for many years and she would greet by name and then hold out her hand for my ID!

I’m living in Alabama now and you darn better have an ID if you want to vote here!!!!

I called Senator Kerry and Kennedy’s offices to demand that they stand up for an investigation and demand that ALL these registrations be thrown out.

The people answering the phones told me “you’re the first to mention ACORN, everyone is talking about the meltdown”. I said, “Who do you think CAUSED the meltdown”??????

FEH. Socialists at the door.

And What’s even more funny is the adorable black ladies at the precinct (for the last 15 years) look at the ballot as it feeds to the scanner.
