well what was the poll results on October 10, 2004 ???? I sure Kerry was out ahead similar to Obama if not more. Seems like it was around 10 points.

On election day in 2004, the FOX poll had Kerry winning by 5%.

Come on people, don’t give up hope! We can still get Bush elected and stop Kerry... There’s still time!

No. I just looked it up today. Bush was ahead 3-7 points throughout October in most polls. There were a few outliers, especially the last week, which showed the race tied or Kerry up 1.

AAaaaaaahhhhhHHHH!!!

Bush can’t win!

Wait a minute.

Now, if some freepers here could learn to NOT worship the MSM poll gods, kneeling and whimpering before them, we just might win this thing.

There are more reasons then ever this election to throw them out as nonsense.

It the RCP national average that concerns me. I doubt Kerry or Gore were up much, if at all, for a sustained period in October in the RCP average.

It was actually Bush who led for most of October 2000, and then his numbers dropped hard in the final days (likely due to the DUI), proving anything can happen.

Ask yourself how RCP could possibly average all the polls, since they all have different compositions, timings, etc, etc.

Answer: the polls cannot be averaged together. There is no possible succesful weighting scheme.

How much valuable FR bandwidth is being wasted on these stupid polls from 4 years ago or 8 years ago? Hell, I think I saw one from Carter vs. Reagan the other day.

Is this what makes you feel better? This is how McCain is going to win? By looking at this and thinking it just might happen again? Why don't you start posting polls from just 2 years ago when the polls were exactly right, you all doubted them and we got crushed?

Tell the leftists that the only way to keep President Bush from winning is for them to vote McCain. They tried it in 2000.

and in todays Fox poll, there are only 35% Republicans compared to 43% Dems....also “interested in the race” is now even with “interest at 58% for both (GOP “interest” rate is still climbing-—Barack has topped).

These numbers don’t look all that bad to me, victory is attainable with sustained attack, GOTV, and no gaffes.
