NEW YORK In a lenghty account of a Sarah Palin rally in Scranton, Pa. today, the local paper, the Times-Tribune, relates that at 1:25 p.m. just before she arrived, a candidate for Congress stepped on stage: "Chris Hackett addressed the increasingly feisty crowd as they await the arrival of Gov. Palin.

"Each time the Republican candidate for the seat in the 10th Congressional District mentioned Barack Obama the crowd booed loudly.

"One man screamed "kill him!'"

BC, I thought you might be interested in this.

This morning's Scranton Times Tribune has an article about the "kill him" claim.

The Secret Service is investigating but the only person they can find that heard it is the Scranton Times reporter. Not one other person.

At this time (5 am) the article isn't on their web site, just the print edition.

See my post # 121 above.

The Times endorsed Obama over the local favorite Hillary.

I'll probably cancel my subscription again after the election. They are just so over the top Dem it gets nauseating. But it's almost an OCD thing. I need my morning paper as much as I need my coffee.

I was at the rally too. It was great. I couldn't miss a chance to see Sarah. I went to Chaney's rally in '00 and it wasn't anywhere near the excitement level.

I`m beginning to think these people are actually liberals trying to stir things up.

Yep. It's got to be a Democrat plant.

Democrats are so insufferably arrogant that they think we're all stupid. They do these blatant things because they've deluded themselves with the notion that we're so simple, we'll fall for their ever-so-obvious ploys.

And of course, the media eats it right up and spreads it around like the fertilizer it is.

I've been thinking that all along. If Obama-ites will strut around wearing their "C*NT" t-shirts, they certainly are not above doing this.

Thanks for the ping. I’ve been thinking all along that this is a scheme by liberals.

The article link is at this thread’s article in Editor and Publisher. I read it, and it sounds as though someone was saying to kill Chris Hackett: http://www.thetimes-tribune.com/articles/2008/10/14/news/doc48f4ba8994588930223377.txt

“ACORN plants trying to make GOP rally-goers look like the Klan!”

Who better to do it than the party that invented them?

The next time this happens Sarah needs to have the crowd point the guy out so he can have a visit with the Secret Service.
