The way they do this is quite clever. First of all they do not overestimate the number of Democrats ~ to a degree they UNDERESTIMATE the number of "white" Democrats. That way they minimize the number of "white" Democrats who will not vote for a black candidate ~ we can call this "burying the Bradley effect".
I believe they are taking the "Bradley Effect" voters and calling them N/A on the response sheets.
The rest of it is a simple matter of shifting Republican voters who intend to vote for Obama into the independent category. They then misrepresent the total percntage of the electorate they've identified as independents.
It's really difficult to work your way backwards through all of this. I did it for Missouri and determined that the pollsters were claiming there were MORE independents than Republicans, and MORE independents than Democrats. This amplified the 11% black vote several fold to where they were representing over 50% of the Democrat vote.
Each one of these steps is justified in someone's mind I am sure.

I’d think they’d worry about making their electorate (Dems) complacent with this type of hype.
If these polls are accurate, fine Obama wins, but if these polls are abberations, and he loses, they were irresponsible and will create a lot of trouble in this country in the aftermath of the election.

The Obama-Biden ticket now leads the McCain-Palin ticket 53 percent to 39 percent among likely voters, a 14-point margin. Heh!
Anyone have that animated picture of a pig flying by chance?

That’s one ugly pattern:

Now its upto UBL.
If he endorses him and says a little prayer for brother Obama and puts out a video, as he did for Kerry, a last minute ringing endorsement, perhaps that would change things.
McCain is going to make MESS out of debate tomorrow night.
He is trying to be funny, angry, positive, negative, happy, angry, optimist, pessimist, all at the SAME time.
Pick ONE mood and stick with it.
Well rehearsed jokes are all falling flat.

Drop the Dems to 34%, the Reps to 31% and raise the independents to 35%.
At the same time count 95% of black respondents as being Dem.
It's not the discounting of the Rep vote that controls. It's the discounting of the white Dem vote AND the accentuation of the Ind vote that controls everything in these polls.

If Bama gets elected, we wont have an election in 4 yrs. He will be president forever in my humble opinion. Just sayin....
I remember the tin foil hats on the left saying Bush would find a reason to suspend the elections this year. They honestly believed it.
