NEW YORK –Sen. Barack Obama, with a donation of nearly $1 million, and a son of Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi were among the biggest contributors to the presidential campaign of controversial Kenyan leader Raila Odinga, according to an internal document obtained by WND.

The memo was prepared by the head of Odinga's campaign finance accounting section, Shakeel Shabbir, as an official report delivered to the national treasurer for Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement party, or ODM.

Among the 72 individuals and organizations that contributed money to Odinga's 2007 presidential run in Kenya, Shabbir lists "Friends of Senator B.O." as having donated 66,000,000 Kenyan schillings, about $950,000.

Saif el-Islam Gadhafi, the Libyan strongman's second oldest son, reportedly donated 53,450,000 Kenyan schillings, about $765,000.

problem is when Mccain brings this stuff out then his numbers go down because they say he is being negative.
How do we over come this?
people need to know what a scumbag Obama aligns himself with, but by telling them they get mad. Seems that they don’t want to know the truth

I still think Dick Morris is the reason this isn’t getting airtime on Fox. Fox News and Hannity love Morris, and I don’t think they would want to link a story that would hurt him.
Dick Morris pretty much helped Odinga in the same way Obama did.

There is so much bubbling in the pot that even if it comes out the public will think it is all smear tactics since nobody could be that bad

I saw Morris on Fox and Friends just this morning bad mouthing Obama and how weak he will be on the WOT. It just makes me sick to see and hear that hypocrite Morris talk anymore!

Morris has been acting Hawkish on the WOT since 2001 to the American Conservative press, but in the backgrounds he is out supporting radical communist thugs! What a POS!

No he didn't...he backed out of the deal when he saw how bad it was.

Finally.

Why is it that I figure these convoluted things out and then three months later some newspaper acts as if they are the first on the scene with breaking news?

Oh, yeah, it’s now October, the month of trick or trick.

Think I’ll eat a marshmallow donkey. Or chicken or rabbit.

What are the details on Morris/Odinga? I read that he was involved, at Barry’s request, in Odinga’s campaign.

Word is that Morris found out about the deal Obama/Odinga made with Islamic extremists to support Islamic extremist law and other disgusting plans like violence and backed out of coaching Odinga’s campaign or was pushed out...not sure which.

Dick Morris was actually deported by the previous govt for having come in to support Odinga.

As a Neo-Con, Dick Morris went there to trasnfer monies and advice on how to win the elections to Odinga.

It seems the former govt there realized that and decided to deport him the same way they did to Dr. Corsi.

Link is here:
http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/mt/archives/016062.php

Apparently, America has a strong export capability in political analysis, even in analysts with a track record of scandal. A Kenyan presidential candidate hired Dick Morris to help win the election, even though Morris has no history in Kenyan politics, and traveled to the country on a tourist visa. No problem, says his new boss — Morris works for free:

Political consultant Dick Morris, who rose to prominence as a key adviser for President Bill Clinton and then fell from grace after a scandal involving a prostitute, has surfaced as a political consultant in an unlikely place — Kenya.
Leading presidential candidate Raila Odinga has brought Morris on as a consultant to help him beat incumbent President Mwai Kibaki in next month’s elections. Last week Morris arrived in Kenya on a tourist visa and held a press conference saying he believed Odinga was poised to win the election.

“I think the reason is he has a clear reputation for courage and for integrity and for change,” Morris said. “I am delighted to be here in Kenya and to help you get rid of the corrupt government.”

But news of Morris’ own scandals soon spread throughout Kenyan media. Letters to the editor and op-ed articles have severely criticized Odinga’s choice of consultant. One op-ed in Kenya’s The Nation newspaper laid out Morris’ past indiscretions, including his affair and leaking of sensitive information to a prostitute, and that the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services has Morris as one of the top 10 tax evaders in the state. As of Oct. 1, 2007 he still owed almost $300,000 in back taxes.

Yes, that doesn’t exactly build credibility for a reformist candidate. Odinga may not have known much about Morris, but then again, he didn’t have to pay much, either. At least, that’s the story to which his campaign has steadfastly clung since the revelation that Morris arrived on a tourist visa, in apparent violation of immigration law.

The government — the one Morris accused of corruption within hours of his arrival — has a different interpretation. It takes far longer to get a work visa than a tourist visa, and the election is in less than six weeks, and the government sees this as a dodge. Dr. Alfred Matua, the government’s spokesperson, says that Morris broke the law and will be subject to arrest, prosecution, and deportation if he enters Kenya again in a similar manner. Morris needs to apply for the appropriate work permit, or confine his activities to tourism ... such as “taking pictures of monkeys”.

Taking pictures of monkeys? That sounds almost as much fun as wrestling with pigs, which any American political analyst can do easily enough here at home. If Morris wants to return to Kenya, though, he’d better start taking some snapshots of the primate life and spend less time on electioneering.

I removed the Bloomberg links. Thanks Religion Moderator.

Not only did Dick Morris participate but also the Bush Administration actually favoured Odinga over the other guy in the Kenyana Elections.

In July 2008, here is Odinga visiting USA and hosted by STATE Department including Condi Rice, spoke at the NEO-CON organizations called Council for Foreign Relations and at the STATESMEN CSIS Forum, Hosted by US Congress and Senior Govt Leaders and also met with White House officials like Security Adviser, Stephen Hadley. I presume he would have met Bush in private (but I think Bush was in Europe at that time). Fox wont speak about this coz actually Odinga was backed and supported by the US Govt Establishment.

It seems to me Mr. Prime Minister of Kenya Odinga is supported by NEO-Cons, Military Industrialists, Businessmen and Capitalists around the world.

I read somewhere that Mr. Odinga is already a billionaire and has contacts with many leaders around the world.

Which of these is neoconservative?
Your larger point that the State Department supports radicals hasbeen true for decades. The traitors at Foggy Bottom often helped Soviet allies gain legitimacy and often undermined official US policy. Before then we had the State Department betrayal China.

If you want to mention useful idiot conservatives, go for it.

i would not call them traitors or idiots. coz their world view (Neo-Cons want international intervenetions) is very different from the real conservative world view (isolationism).

but its clear that NEO-CONS, BIG-BUSINESS USA and USA FED Govt supports Odinga. they used to support the Kibaki president but changed sides when he wouldnt cooperate on startegic regional issues and investments treaties.

thats why you dont see Odinga’s name out there. Odinga’s father was an ally of both Bush’s father as well as Thathcher and Gobachev.
