Ed Schultz STORMS OFF Fox and Friends!
Fox News Channel | October 17, 2008 | Self

Posted on 10/17/2008 3:42:28 AM PDT by PowerPro

Well that was a fun way to start the morning!

Steve Malzberg and Ed Schultz were guests on Fox and Friends when the topic of Joe the Plumber came up.

Steve went first, describing (correctly, I might add) that Obama's tax plan punishes success and was tantamount to Marxism, Ed responded with his own story about his sons' constuction company and spins a tale about how they'd do better under Obama's plan than McCain's.

Malzberg asks Ed whether or not they make 250K and Ed gets testy.

Extremely testy.

So testy, he gets up and walks away!

We see the cord from his microphone dangling for a few seconds and then we're treated to the extremely shocked faces of Gretchen, Steve Malzberg and Brian...who cannot believe what just happened.

The segment wraps up with everyone mock storming off set and leaving Gretchen to do the news and then the entire crew follows suit.

Except for Gretchen...who's now all by her lonesome.

The problem with that is the fact the only dems I know are that are voting for Obama are the communist vegetarian kind, black or kids.

None, and I have been very shocked at the reply of some of the dems I have asked, of the blue dog dems or Hillary supporters I know are voting Obama. I have been very curious this year because of the lack of bumper stickers and yard signs so I have been asking all the dems I know. Obama has a huge problem with his base in flyover country that is not being reported or showing in these over-weighted polls.

It looks like most Freepers didn't watch this sequence, and are just reacting to a somewhat misleading description of it. Schultz objected to being 'talked over' by Malzburg, said it always happens when he's on FOX. When it continued, he left. It is so damned irritating to watch 2, 3, or more partisans hollering over each other - if one has a valid point you'll never hear it. When there is a respectful debate it seems so pleasingly unusual, when it should be the norm. It is a shame that it took a slimy lib to do what many, many guests should have done in the past.

I'm sorry, I couldn't read a word of what you wrote.

Powerpro typed all over you.

"Oh brother....entirely unprofessional....people get interrupted and talked over all the time....can't handle a little rumble."

If you were invited to appear on such a program to advance your program/position, would you want to be able to speak directly to the host/audience without interruption?

Or, would you like to have to constantly raise your voice, hoping to be heard over your adversary and the host, knowing that little or nothing is being understood by the audience.

I submit the latter scenario would leave you wondering why you wasted your time.

My point is that it is the responsibility of the host/producer to see that invited guests are treated with respect, regardless of their opinion of the guest and his/her position.

Any less is unprofessional, and disrespects me, the viewer/customer of the program.

If the management of a network will not require respect from it's employees toward guests and viewers, it's certainly ok for a guest/viewer to withdraw their support.

I have walked out of commercial enterprises numerous times after becoming irritated with staff, why expect lower standards from TV?

The thing about the taxes is this....Obama says it will “only” be 3% more than they (the over $250000’s group) are paying now.
What’s to guarantee it won’t go to 10%, 20% etc. when he decides they still have too much money...and what guarantees the $250000 level not to be lowered? He wants lots of money to play with. Thus, begins the slippery slope.

Some people have to storm off from discussion because they are not as adept at lying through their teeth as the usual Obamatrons democrat. Poor Ed has to practice his lying with a smile if he’s going to go on public venues to lie for The One.

I agree. We do have some yard signs and such in the area (west suburban Chicago), but a lot of dems I know are not comfortable voting for Obama. My very lib sister in-law said she might just stay home on election day.

Right after the VP debate I was in Whole Foods, of all places, and the 20ish year old cashier in the next lane said to her customer, "Yeah, I'm either voting for McCain or not going to vote at all." I was shocked to say the least.

“We will be sure to hear a lot more from Joe during the next 19 days!” Not if the Obama goon squad can fix it! They are doing all they can to destroy the man, the common man. The mess I ah doesn't allow opposition. This assault on Joe the Plumber is the face of the Marxist future under Obama. When Obama smarmed his disdain for Joe, he revealed his disdain for the American middle class he's trying to deceive into voting for him. Barack Obama is not an honorable man, despite JOhn McCain's withering praise of the little Marxist squirrel.

Thanks for linking that! Yup, a typical whiney looney leftist. Opened his leftists mouth and lied through his teeth, then couldn’t stand being caught in his lies.

Now I wish I’d given it another minute.

Get TiVo (or another DVR). Keeps the last 30 minutes of whatever channel you're watching. Pause, go to do something, and catch up. Zap commercials. It's like heaven compared to the old fasion way.

I voted for McCain at Ed’s website.

He’s up to 6% now.

Saw a story here on FR yesterday about how Hawaii was discontinuing its new program to provide health insurance for “uninsured” children.

Why?

Because people who used to pay for their children’s insurance said to themselves, “Why am I doing this when I can get my kids’ insurance for free from the state?” They were DROPPING COVERAGE in droves so their kids were eligible for “free” health insurance.

The Rats have never learned that human nature is very strategic.

Just like the bird feeder in the back yard: if you hand out free goodies, the birds will flock to it, then build their nests near it, then forget to teach their young how to hunt and scratch for food that isn’t put out for them every day.

P.S. Even $250,000 gross-—imagine paying a couple of employees, paying for, operating and maintaining a couple of vehicles, tools, rent on business space/equipment/phones, all kinds of insurance, bonds (for the trades), inventory of parts/supplies, all kinds of taxes already imposed . . . $250,000 gross does not leave all that much to pay for this stuff.
