Can't Decide! Stay Home

Is it not as troubling as it is frustrating that the fate of our country these days seems to lie in the hands of the electorate still on the fence, if you will, after all this presidential election cycle’s conventions, stump speeches, talking heads free-for-alls, new analyses and debates, and may go to the polls Nov. 4 without a clear conviction as to whom or which party could and should best lead this greatest nation on God’s green earth?

Those infamous "undecideds" in this election whom — after watching these past three presidential debates (as well as the one and only veep contest) — don’t yet see and hear the stark differences between an eloquent, flashy empty suit with empty words and a patriot and proven leader who shares from his heart and is plain-spoken and knows the difference between right and wrong, between reality and utopia, should, quite frankly, not be granted the responsible adult privilege to vote in the most important election of our time.

Perhaps, on election night, the remaining undecided voters should stay at home instead, and watch reruns of "Three’s Company" or "The Flintstones" and do America the greater service.

Out of some meager thoughts I had in my head the other morning (actually, as early as 3 AM, to be more exact), I jotted down my frustration with the infamous "undecideds" in this election, and--surprisingly--saw that my letter to the editor of our local paper (the Daily Press) in the Victor Valley of Southern California decided to publish it (at least, HE was not "undecided"...HA!).

Something interesting to note: Yesterday a FReeper posted a comment on the polls. Apparently he/she was subscribing to the Rasmussen polls. No longer open to the non-subscribers Rasmussen has apparently still divided his polls into decided and leaners. Yesterday, when the full poll still Gave Senator 0 a lead with 4%, it was 41 - 41 (!!!!) among the non-leaners.

Now, that makes for a very interesting final couple of weeks.

I've always felt elections should require voters to dip their fingers in indelible ink and bars should be open after the polls close with free drinks provided only to those who could prove they didn't vote. It would be a wise use of public funding to eliminate the nimrods from the process.

Couldn’t agree more. If you can’t see the stark difference between these two candidates by now or you’re voting for reasons that have nothing to do with the policy and/orcharacter differences between them, then just stay home. Uninformed voting simply for the sake of voting is not something to encourage; informed voting for the sake of the country is.

I think the Iraqis came up with a better election system. One fingerprint = 1 vote. Simple and logical. ACORN would get knifed over there. Those people are not going to revert to recent history.
