A sea of red erupted for Sarah Palin on Friday afternoon, as more than 25,000 Hoosiers welcomed her to Noblesville like out-of-state family.
Sarah Palin could easily hail from Indiana, Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman told the standing crowd at the Verizon Wireless Music Center outside Indianapolis, about 5:30 p.m. any one of its small towns.
Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee and governor of Alaska, took center stage amidst an overflowing crowd where VIP tickets merely assured entrance after hours in line.
Thousands of supporters, many wearing red shirts or waving red pom poms, were herded through the walkways and grassy areas of the open air pavilion by Secret Service and safety officials noting fire regulations.
This is more people than Ive ever seen here for any concert, said Wabash Valley Journal of Business publisher Bob Flott,

Rock stars carry her bags.
And she doesn't have to hold a Rock Concert in conjunctin with her appearances to draw a crowd that size.
The polls don’t match the crowds. Remember Bush in 2004?
Does anyone know, someone posted a few days ago that Bob Dole drew crowds these large, before going down in defeat. Is that true? I don’t ever recall reading that.
I was there with my family and those Hoosiers were fired up!

I don’t remember any crowds this large for Bob Dole.
The most crowd Bob Dole got was when he had that “rail falling over moment”
But again, it might have been where he was doing his rallies (KS, OK, NE, ND, SD) where you would expect big rallies. But out of the battleground states? If we are drawing this many people consistently, we must be doing well.

LOL. Are you suggesting that Palin/McCain=Dole, Newbie?
I remember 2000 and CNN predicting Florida a winner for Al Gore.
I HATE crowds but if Sarah comes to Houston I might, I say MIGHT have to go and see her.

My experience: I once went to a Dole event that had around 30 attendees.

Exactly, the polls appear counterintuitive. Size and enthusiasm indicates that the pubbies will do a very good job of getting the vote out. 11.4 is gonna be fun for no other reason than watching the LSM talking heads try to explain what happened.
Hence the very reason for a cooked poll an hour.
Peggy Noonan said that Sarah is a flop. And Noonan’s a conservative, so she must be right. I mean, after all, her latest book “Patriotic Grace” instructs conservatives to accept leftism ‘gracefully’ when the country moves in that direction.
yeah, it was pretty bad. the outcome of that race was pretty much decided.
But this race, I can’t figure out. I’m a political demographic junkie and for the life of me, I can’t find Obama’s 50% support. I’m trying, I’m honestly trying, but I can’t. McCain should win MO, NC, IN, VA, OH, FL, and CO based on conservative voters in these states alone. The ONLY way I see McCain losing any of these states are (1) Voter Fraud and (2) A sizable number of conservatives stay home. Plain eliminated #2 for the most part and McCain is actively campagining. So what gives?
