(HONOLULU, HI)(October 22, 2008) The leader of the national anti-Obama movement, legendary Chicago corruption fighter, Internet columnist and Obama author Andy Martin, will hold three Honolulu news conferences today, October 22, 2008.
Andy is the powerful Internet leader and Chicago investigator who has doggedly pursued Obama for the past four years.
Martin’s first and most critical news conference will disclose the findings of his research team in Hawaii concerning the secret truths about Barack Obama. A news release to follow (#2) will announce new filings at the Hawai’i Supreme Court later today (the legal issues before the Court are entirely separate and distinct from, although possibly related to, the “secret truths”).
Finally a news conference late today will reference the late U. S. Senator Hiram Fong.
This news release only concerns details related to the first news conference.

So, if a news conference is scheduled and no media show up, did it really happen?

This sounds, so far, like the old Oklahoma expression, “Fixin’ to git started.” It means the speaker has not done jack. Don’t tell me what you are going to do, just “git her done.”

Why would anybody in their right mind schedule a press conference at 2:30 p.m. Hawaii time? That’s 8:30 in the East, when most people will be watching the world series, some other TV programming, reading, helping kids with homework, attending PTA/Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts meetings or perhaps even getting ready for bed. Most importantly from his perspective, it’s crashing the deadlines of the New York Times and Washington Post. And it’s not as if the networks are exactly going to break in with special reports.
In the West, it’ll be 5:30, when most people are on their way home from work or in many cases still occupied with their jobs.
This is idiotic strategically. Either there’s no news to be had (my guess), or he doesn’t care that whatever news there is doesn’t get picked up.
