Los Angeles Police Chief William J. Bratton announced Wednesday that he believes Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden might try to influence next month's U.S. presidential election through a terrorist attack or some less dramatic tactic.
"With so much at stake in these elections, Bin Laden will probably attempt to make his opinion count," wrote Bratton in an article published on the opinion page of the New York Daily News. Bratton co-wrote the article with R.P. Eddy, former director of counter-terrorism at the National Security Council.

The US is not Spain. Our reaction would be the opposite of what he might expect.
He would never jeopardize Obama’s chances like that. I would expect the ‘big bang’ to immediately follow an Obama inauguration though.
I don’t know about that. An attack on or near Election Day in a major city would result in terrible chaos. People might be afraid to go to the polls. The only votes counted might be of the ACORN variety.
These things are done in third world countries to influence the vote. I can see ACORN collaborating (Obama and Osama) to cause grave mischief on Election Day.

Mexico has taken them over and they didn't even try to fight. Just shows you how many gutless, spineless, losers they have running that state.
Osama is probably dead. I think the real threat comes from “urban areas”. The riot police are getting prepared.
