Russian observers to monitor U. S. vote
The National Post ^ | 10/23/08 | Peter Goodspeed

Stung by international criticism of its presidential and congressional elections, Russia is striking back by sending a team of observers to monitor the U. S. presidential poll on Nov. 4.

Andrei Nesterenko, a spokesman with Russia's Foreign Ministry, says Moscow will have eight election observers attached to a monitoring mission conducted by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

The OSCE, which has infuriated the Kremlin in the past by criticizing elections in Russia and other post-communist states, is sending 62 election observers to the United States.

The mission, headed by Audrey Glover, the top British diplomat, includes a core of 13 international experts from the OSCE's office in Washington and 48 international observers who will be deployed in teams of two around the country.

In addition to visiting polling stations on Nov. 4, they will study the election campaign, media coverage and issues of voter registration, identification and voters rights.

Russia's Central Elections Committee has also assigned its Centre for the Study of Election Technology to review the U. S. election campaign.

I'd personally welcome those Russians and encourage them to challenge any voter who is unable to demonstrate that they are legally registered to vote.

"Johnny? Define 'geometry', would you?"

"OK teach, once upon a time, there was this little acorn, and it got planted, and it started growing, and it grew, and grew, and grew some more, and it got bigger and bigger, until one day it opened it's eyes, and looked around and said 'GEE, Ah'm A TREE!'

Send them to inner city Los Angeles, St Louis, and Detroit.

That should open their eyes. Oh—and Las Vegas, where 740,000 registration cards were examined and 715,000 were found to be rotten ACORN’s.

Here is the link to the documents regarding the Russians.

As a added note the preliminary assessment report is also on the website. You should note that the attorney that represented CAIR against Robert Spencer represented the DNC at the meetings with the OSCE in June 2008. I believe it is on page 16.

It also concerns me that foreign nationals may speak with voters and the judges inside the polling place. The American voters are not permitted this luxury. The state of Missouri allows foreign observers in the polling place. You should check your state’s laws at your Secretary of States office.

Not in my f’n poll they’re not:

“Because only Ohio electors may observe Ohio elections, no elector of another state may serve as an observer in Ohio.”

I cannot believe our country is allowing a group of socialists to come in and monitor our elections...pathetic.

Oh, and I’m sure the socialists will comment on the negative media coverage of the Republican and the biased coverage for the Socialist Obama lmao.

The observers have been here since early October.

They have been monitoring the media, election preparations, etc.

After the election they will issue a report. Under the treaty we signed (I can’t remember the date) we are subject to their recommendations.

I’m keeping a collection of these types of images stored safely in an easily hidden thumb drive. I truly believe that within a year of The One’s ascension (should it happen) that it will be illegal to post such “hate”. I shall endeavor to keep the “hate” alive until such time that I receive my orders to report to the nearest ‘re-education camp’.

This is not new.

President Lyndon Johnson proposed the same idea around 1965. Supposedly the Soviet observers would be so impressed by the workings of American democracy that somehow the seeds of popular representation might make their way into the Workers’ Paradise itself.

A cartoon at the time showed two laughing Russians:

“Is inviting us to sending observers to American national elections!”

“Can observers remaining to witness confessions and executions of losers!?”
