Today I was disturbed by what I heard and saw.
Driving to my job as a part time waitress I caught a glimpse of a sign in front of a house. It said "Obama Bin Laden for President" It had other words under that which I didn't get to read. But maybe just as well I didn't read the rest. Now this wasn't in a dumpy neighborhood it was in a well to do North Shore town in front of a very nice home. In what you might say was very upper middle class.
Today I also waited on a couple who were dining with a nice elderly man. They are regulars eating at my place that I work at, they live in a very well to do area of town. I happen to know the man has a very good job. He turned to me and said "Did you know Obama wasn't born here? " I said no I didn't know that. He then went on to tell me Mr Obama was born in kenya and the Democratic party is faking a birth certificate. Hmmm okay I thought. Sure .... ?
Now as a waitress I've heard other things when people do not think I am listening. I heard the use of the word nigger, I heard them say they would never vote for a black man. But somehow this disturbed me because this man was trying to convince me Obama wasn't an American. What was he thinking that maybe I won't know any better or maybe he just believed this fake story himself?
I got home from work and told my husband, who then told me his boss at work had sent everyone a email with smears against Obama. It said things like he faked his trip to see his grandmother, that she really isn't sick. That he pals around with terrorists. I mean this is a work place. And this is going on right here on Long Island in Democratic liberal NY .
One more reason that we are going to win.
I’m telling you guys — there’s an underground resistance to the guy. I’ve overheard two vocal Kerry supporters talking about voting for Bob Barr(!) this time around.
I’ve seen Moonbats with ‘Selected Not Elected’ stickers who used to have Kerry-Edwards bumperstickers with NO Obama stickers on their vehicles.
Something’s afoot. I think Obama goes down. Possibly HARD.

They must be furious. Every jerk that tells you Obama is not an American, you say right back, he is as good and proud of an American as you and way more of an American than John McCAIn who was actually NOT born in America (was born in the Panama Canal Zone) and that was before they invented paper, so he doesn’t have a birth certificate. (Most of this is true.)

I’m sorry if I offend some folks out there but if this waitress really did her research instead of drinking the free koolaid at the restaurant, she probably wouldn’t be surprised about the continuing revelations about mystery man Obama and probably would have found something better to do for work as a result of her commitment to reading, studies, empirical thinking and an obviously cultured and inquisitive mind.
I’m sorry we disappoint this poor man by not sharing in the worship of his esteemed Obama. I’ll probably lose sleep over it.
I live in Central PA.. A red area that went about 57-43 to Bush.
I probably saw twice as many Kerry/Edwards signs and bumperstickers in 2004 as Bush/Cheney signs and bumperstickers.
I would say McCain signs have Obama outnumbered by 4 or 5 to 1..
There was an article in a local paper by a frantic Democrat woman fretting about the lack of Obama signs in the area and trying to rally the troops to get their signs out.
