Wait, are you saying Obama admitted to being a socialist on a radio program, or they are using some old soundbite, please clarify and provide a link, thanks.

I concur, if the PUMAS help put McCain over the finish line, they are allowed to do whatever they want to support Hillary in 2012, if McCain gets elected and helps reform government, lowers taxes, gets the economy moving in the right direction, starts drilling for oil offshore and possibly in ANWR, acts like a Teddy Roosevelt style Republican, keeps the heat on the terrorists, he is going to be extremely tough to beat in 2012.

But I really don’t want to talk about him winning, no jinxes, let the Obama supporters keep talking as if it is over.

Is it just me or is anybody else tired of the "I was having dinner the other night with somebody who knows somebody who is on the inside of "XXX" campaign and that person said...blah, blah, blah."

Call me a stickler but I never get my my hopes up over indirectly sourced information like this.

Just got this from that Nigerian that I work with in Africa in response to my saying Obama is corrupt. This is the group that is posting this crap and saying they gave money to Obama and some even voted for him, although not citizens. From: GANIYU JAIYEOLA Date: Sat, 25 Oct 2008 15:34:31 -0700 (PDT) To: naijanet Subject: [Naijanet] McCain Paid $175,000 to a Voter Fraud Operative (fwd) http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/us_elections/article4992730.ece October 22, 2008 McCain campaign paid Republican operative accused of voter fraud Hannah Strange John McCain paid $175,000 of campaign money to a Republican operative accused of massive voter registration fraud in several states, it has emerged. As the McCain camp attempts to tie Barack Obama to claims of registration irregularities by the activist group ACORN, campaign finance records detailing the payment to the firm of Nathan Sproul, investigated several times for fraud, threatens to derail that argument. The documents show that a joint committee of the McCain-Palin campaign, the Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party, made the payment to Lincoln Strategy, of which Mr Sproul is the managing partner, for the purposes of “voter registration”. Mr Sproul has been investigated on numerous occasions for preventing Democrats from voting, destroying registration forms and leading efforts to get Ralph Nader on ballots to leach the Democratic vote. In October last year, the House Judiciary Committee wrote to the Attorney General requesting answers regarding a number of allegations against Mr Sproul’s firm, then known as Sproul and Associates. It referred to evidence that ahead of the 2004 national elections, the firm trained staff only to register Republican voters and destroyed any other registration cards, citing affidavits from former staff members and investigations by television news programmes. One former worker testified that “fooling people was key to the job” and that “canvassers were told to act as if they were non-partisan, to hide that they were working for the RNC, especially if approached by the media,” according to the committee’s letter. It also cited reports from public libraries across the country that the firm had asked to set up voter registration tables claiming it was working on behalf of the non-partisan group America Votes, though in fact no such link existed. Such activities "clearly suppress votes and violate the law”, wrote John Conyers, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. The letter suggested that the Judiciary Department had failed to take sufficient action on the allegations because of the politicisation of the department under the then-attorney general, John Ashcroft. The career of Mr Sproul, a former leader of the Arizona Republican Party, is littered with accusations of foul play. In Minnesota in 2004, his firm was accused of sacking workers who submitted Democratic registration forms, while other canvassers were allegedly paid bonuses for registering Bush voters. There were similar charges in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Oregon and Nevada. That year, Mr Sproul’s firm was paid $8,359,161 by the Republican Party, according to a 2005 article in the Baltimore Chronicle, which claimed that this was far more than what had been reported to the Federal Elections Commission. Mr McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin have been linking allegations of registration fraud by ACORN, the community group, to the Obama campaign. ACORN has been accused of registering non-existent voters during its nationwide drive, with reports of cartoon characters such as Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse being signed up. The organisation insisted that these are isolated incidents carried out by a handful of workers who have since been dismissed. However, the Republican nominee insists that the group is involved in fraudulent activities, noting that Mr Obama, before leaving the legal profession to enter politics, was once part of a team which defended the organisation. At last week’s debate, he said that ACORN was “perpetrating one of the greatest frauds in voter history”, a claim which the Obama campaign says represents political smear. The revelation of Mr Sproul’s involvement with the McCain campaign – he has also donated $30,000 to the ticket and received at least another $37,000 directly from the RNC – could undermine his case. "It should certainly take away from McCain's argument," Bob Grossfeld, an Arizona political consultant who has watched Mr Sproul's career closely, told the Huffington Post. "Without knowing anything of what is going on with ACORN, there is a clear history with Mr Sproul either going over the line or sure as hell kicking dirt on it, and doing it for profit and usually fairly substantive profit." In May this year, both ACORN and Mr Sproul were discussed at a hearing of the House subcommittee on commercial and administrative law. One Republican member, Congressman Chris Cannon, concluded: "The difference between ACORN and Sproul is that ACORN doesn't throw away or change registration documents after they have been filled out." --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Naijanet" group. Even the ones that don't Love Sarahs politics are appalled by the treatment she is getting for the MSM. They see it as the same treatment Hillary got during the primaries, only 10 times worse, and they are correct.

I have never considered myself a "feminist", mainly because the only feminists we ever got to hear from (Thanks MSM) were the militant ones. Yet since Sarah has been introduced, I finally have a strong woman to connect with. She truly is just like me, and I love it. I now see the attraction that Hillary had (I would never vote for her, but others did). I am an equal partner in my marriage, I make about the same amount as my husband, and all major decisions are discussed between us. Yet I never felt the need to assert my "feminist side" until now!

Many white men here will not understand how the first time in our lives we finally have a politician that we can relate to on a personal basis. This is new to us. There is absolutely nothing wrong with our past politicians that happen to be old white guys, but there is something new for us now. So in that context I understand the PUMAS 100%. We may not agree on all the political issues, but we do like having a women we can unite behind. In some respects it makes me understand the feeling black voters have for Obama. I, for the first time in my life, understand Identity politics, and I like it!

One of the many, many, many failures of the Republican-majority Congress was to investigate election and voter manipulation of polling companies. Elected Republicans once again did nothing to defend their constituents, defend the fairness of elections for everyone and defend the Constitution.

Elected Republicans had theirs and didn't care about anyone else. McCain win or lose, there will have to be a purge of the GOP of the go along, to get along Republicans. They are too dangerous to Republican voters. We can't afford them anymore.

We need to make a list of Members of the House and of the Senate, who need to be defeated in the primaries in 2010. We need to recruit and support candidates starting now.

No more RINOs!

Today C-Span had an academic talking about polling. The gist of his lecture was that pollsters need the business. They statistically skew their results for the client.

Then why don't the Republicans or some Conservative groups employ their own polling service, or at least hire one to skew the results their way?

They underplay, or don't report the undecided. It is expecially huge during primaries, but we don't hear about it. Undecideds don't tell anyone how they are going to vote.

Also, every internal overpolls Democrats. In the last 2 Presidential elections, Dems and GOP voters were 50-50. Why give the Dems a 10-16 point advantage? Another thing I've seen-GOP voters support McCain more than Dem voters support B. Hussein. McCain is around the 90-10, while B. Hussein is 80-20.

He also said 4 out of 5 phone call connections are of no value to a pollster. Polls that are for public notice are different from polls for internal use.

This is why Rove said McCain/Palin will blitz the media in the last 72 hours with their best stuff and they have plenty.

I do agree with McCAin's strategy. B. Hussein Obama has put $600,000,000 into his campaign and he's still in a statistical dead heat with all the credible polls. McCain isn't much to work with, but I think we can pull him across the finish line with some sharp ads against B. Hussein. yitbos

This story is bogus.

The same setup was used last month for something similar. I'll try to find it, but this meeting over dinner bit was already used. It showed how a chance meeting at dinner with a deep insider from the McCain camp painted all roses. Same source, same storyline and same message.

I agree with you. I read the HFC forum daily and they absolutely loathe Obama and the DNC. Even they admit they now see the media bias that republicans and conservatives have yelled about for a long time. They post that they’re only watching FOX news (and they were as PO’d as we were at the Special Report’s panel take after the 3rd presidential debate). Some of them even admit to listening to Rush and Hannity...something none of them had really done before.
