What we're seen is Obama is going to underperform, not just in PA but across the nation. You'll remember the primaries, he struggled to get across the finish line in contests with Hillary even with the entire MSM in the tank for him. What he can't do is better his poll numbers in a year when he has all the advantages. Again, why not?

Most of the old folks up there are registered Democrat, but vote Republican on the national stage.

For those that usually vote Republican nationally, how do we gain if we get them again?

For those that were so stupid or so perverted that they voted for Kerry, why would Obama be a bridge too far?

What county is Phil in?

Philadelphia County. Its own county. Surrounded by Bucks, Delaware and Montgomery.

No look at it again. Obama is polling worse than Kerry in all counties listed.

My guess is a lot of people are lying too.

Reagan69: YOU are absolutely right. This is great news.

The spread in these mostly blue counties is about 3% on average.

But even more important is the fact that 7-8% of the voters are undecided. If 2/3 break our way, we can definitely steal.....er...um win PA.

Obama is making up for his losses in Blue counties by picking up support in Red counties.

These are upper middle class white voters who have taken losses in their homes and 401k’s and are blindly supporting the commie.

Living in Erie, I don’t buy that poll. I think McCain will take Erie county and I daresay he may even take Allegheny county.

I am hardly a troll...check out my history.

Some Freepers think that anybody that anybody with a fresh idea must be a troll. A little insecure.

Yes, bitter clingers. Casey democrats. Coal country. Blue collar.

The York figures are a little troubling, not surprising really though.

Here's some data from the 2004 general.
Alleghe 57.2% 368,912 42.1% 271,925 0.7% 4,632
Bucks 51.1% 163,438 48.3% 154,469 0.6% 1,909
Erie 53.9% 67,921 45.6% 57,372 0.5% 605
Montgo 55.6% 222,048 44.0% 175,741 0.5% 1,802
York 35.5% 63,701 63.7% 114,270 0.7% 1,298

The raw vote totals help in figuring out the importance of each of the counties

York county is the most troubling, but the best news is McCain is 5 points closer than Bush got in vote-rich Allegheny County.

If undecideds continue to break for McCain, he could pull it off yet.

South Central (York, as well as Lancaster, Cumberland, Dauphin) might be a problem.

I doubt it. I've never seen as many signs for anything ever as for McCain/Palin. And it's Sarah driving that. Intense passion for Sarah in these counties. She's practically living here. My wife is at Sarah's rally in Shippensburg (Cumberland County) this afternoon.

Dem Party becomes the Obama ACORN Dem Party.

Let me try it a less politically correct way. White Democrats have seen the left and AA with the help of ACORN hijack your party. They have to options.

1. Embrace the new Obama ACORN Dem Party. If you are a white union member then an ACORN member might just take your job a month after Obama is sworn in.

2. In the silence and secrecy of a voting booth you make this Obama ACORN nightmare go away by voting McCain.

The question is will union members and white blue dog moderate Dems be smart enough to pick the easy and painless option? I think many will figure it out.

Michael Barone agrees and thinks Obama will take PA, but I bet you already knew that.

I answered on page 1.

I have no interest in outing anybody and getting them fired.

These polls cost MONEY. just be happy that you have them in an anonymous fashion.

Obama is the obvious choice if your only concern is union strength. I challenge you to find any statement or article saying otherwise.
