WASHINGTON (AP) - A new poll shows Missouri voters are still about evenly divided when it comes to the presidential race.
The CNN/Time/Opinion Research poll of 825 likely Missouri voters had McCain at 50 percent and Obama at 48 percent.
The poll, conducted Oct. 23-28, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

CNN/Time?! That says it all.
Now if it were Obama 50 and McCain 48 no doubt the AP’s headline would be “Obama maintains solid lead over McCain.”
The poll was taken over the course of 6 days? An awful lot of stuff happened in that time.
McCain up by 2 - "Race is even"
Obama up by 2 - "Obama maintains lead"
History says whoever wins Missou, wins the election.
It is is even in Missouri then McCain will win.
Add 5 percent since this is an AP poll.
LOL. You beat me to that :)
Obama ahead by two,
Stop the Presses:
Obama's Ahead!!!!!
A key key state for us, part of the VA/PA/OH/MO corridor.
I’d love to see a bit more distance then 2$ though..make it 5%..
If this poll is as off as the NC poll, then MO stays red this time.
Being from Missouri this is what I have been sensing is that is a close race but that McCain was ahead.
I have said this more than once on this site. If McCain wins Missouri there is 97% chance he is the POTUS. So goes Missouri, so goes the Nation (The Bellwether State). Since 1904 we are 26-1 in the election of the POTUS.
Watch Missouri on election night.
Patience and work will place McCain and Palin in the White House.
All republican states are coming home. The hard part has always been for Obama that the deck is stacked against him. There are far more conservatives in this Country than liberals. The main problem this whole time has been figuring out who is the conservative and who is the liberal. Joe knows liberals! Now the conservative base of the US has been awakened to the threat. $600 million and the MSM could not hide it.
I think VA and NC will come back in legitimate and maybe even illegitimate polling by the weekend. FL and OH are safer than they seem. It will all come down to CO and PA.
AP says it’s “even”, huh?
No surprise.
Must be quite a few of these kind of precendents that are broken every cycle.
How could the home of the Cardinals and the former home of Budweiser be anything else.
We don’t need PA, though. Not if we can keep CO, NV, and VA.
Throw out NM, and Iowa too.
I’d like to have them, but we don’t need them to win.
i don’t think there are.. Missouri is only one that has gotten every election “right” for last 40 years or something..
