Where in Oakland? I can see him doing well in South Lyon or Clarkston. He'd get killed in Royal Oak and Ferndale. Those types love Obama. Southfield and Pontiac are obvious.

I thought McCain had a shot here until he quit and worse, ANNOUNCED he quit.

Signs here are 65/35 for McCain, in my part of Washtenaw County just North of Ann Arbor. Close to 100% for Bacrock down in Ann Arbor. North of me in the Republican area it was 70/30 for McCain until a bunch of signs were stolen.

West Bloomfield/Waterford/Commerce and I am as surprised as you are.

I have one theory though, a lot of people probably don't put McCain signs out because of vandalism. It seems like almost every McCain sign I see has been attacked. I have been hypothesizing that if you are an Obamanite you put the sign large and proud on your lawn. Therefore, maybe those that don't have a sign at all are closet McCain people. Make sense? Maybe he's doing better than I thought but I'm only going by what I see.

In my opinion, the state still has too many Democrats for McCain to have a real shot in MI. Indpendents being even? They were essentially even in 2004 (Kerry 49-47, just about right at the national average). But the Democrats had a 5 point turnout advantage and their party loyalty was just a hair under the Republicans. Kerry won the state 51-48, or by 166,000 votes.

For what it’s worth,in 2000 Gore won the state 51-47. In 1996, Clinton got 51.6 of the vote while Dole/Perot got about 47. It seems to be a state where a Democrat should normally win by about 51-48 or thereabouts, as Kerry did.

But a 10 point lead? Faux Obamapoll, methinks.

Nope O-bummer kept his ads in very heavy rotation here and I am sick of seeing him. This might be causing him to go down in the polls. You can over saturate the market and cause a backlash.

Absolutely. Anyone who wants to see what socialism will do to America only needs to see the horror that lies south of 8-mile road.

We ought to bus all the Obama-robots into Detroit and let them see what their messiah has in mind for them.

One of the UAW faithful tried to run my Dad (and his heavily McCain stickered truck) off the road a couple of days ago. Maybe they ought to direct a little of the anger towards the presidents that have sat in Solidarity House rather than blame the one in Washington.

Lots of McCain signs up in the GOP leaning Almont area. Bodes well for redder states me thinks.

The article continued, “the fact that this poll was taken entirely within the city limits of Detroit has nothing to do with the results we are publishing and advertising.”

Bwah-hah-hah!

Thanks for the laugh. I needed it.
