I have been a libertarian as far as I can remember... The Libertarian candidate failed to develop... and now I am stuck... I CANNOT vote Obama... But I really feel like I cannot get myself to vote McCain, even if he is "the lesser of two evils."

No ability to judge? “All the youth wanted him and he was so beautiful. so brilliant.” Is this the words of an Adolph Hitler acolyte or that of Obama?

Then I suggest you just not vote. Certainly anyone with a reasonable intellect would have made up their mind by now. If you can’t do that, why then just stay at home.

I am so sick of Trolls and whiners about being
behind in fake polls or RINOS switching sides.

Vote for McCain/Palin and quit playing to the
beat of the MSM and democrat party.

If you don’t vote for Palin, you’re allowing 0bama to win.

Palin is the future for Americans that love freedom. If the zero gets in office, you can kiss the future of freedom goodbye.

OK here’s a suggestion. Elevate your view to the 50,000 ft level and ask yourself - “which candidate is most Libertarian-like in his philosophy”. A core tenet of Libertarianism is ‘least government” - and while he’s not perfect, John McCain deserves your vote on that basis.

Obama, Pelosi and Reid will create the largest most intrusive government the nation has ever seen, have no doubt about that.

Take the long view.

Oh for crying out loud..Get busy and read about Obama and then you will be certain why you are not going to vote for Obama. He wants your money and the more of it he can get the better.
For many of us McC was not our first choice either but given the circumstances and the seriousness of this election to vote for Obama is to vote for Marxism. Is that what you want?

So help the socialist get elected. Theft isn’t against libertarian principles right?

Ahem, welcome to FR. AKA Jim's house...

Ok, FReepers, time to "turn to!" All hands on deck! Man your battle stations!! (Posted on Friday, October 24, 2008 4:34:27 PM by Jim Robinson)

As reported on another thread:

"Major Garrett reports from Hawaii 10 minutes ago that David Axelrod the Campaign Manager for Barack Obama says as of this morning the campaign had a meeting in Chicago and according to internal numbers they have "a clear road to victory holding all Kerry states while picking up Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Nevada and Virginia with an excellent shot at Montana, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Indiana."

They are saying they will get to 400 EV's election night."

And I just heard through the grapevine yesterday that McCain-Palin are needing grassroots support in battleground states like Nevada, Montana, Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, etc.

Can you imagine conservative Republican states going for Obama? No, and neither can I. Obama has the money, the press and the resources. McCain-Palin has the grassroots. It's time for the grassroots to scramble to action!

Grassroots? That's us! Time for all Free Republic chapters and members to visit or call the closest McCain-Palin or Republican headquarters, grab some signs, man the phones, walk the precincts, join rallies, spread the word! Don't let Obama and ACORN steal the election!! Get in their faces!!

We did it in 2000 and 2004, we can do it again in 2008!!

Go to work FReepers and Lurkers!! Get out the VOTE!!

And if you're one of those hard cases who can't quite see your way clear to vote affirmatively for McCain-Palin and against the America-hating Marxist Barak Hussein Obama, well, I'd advise you to button up your lip before someone busts it up for you. Free Republic is Mccain-Palin territory!!

You heard it here first!

Go get 'em FReepers!!

Then vote for Chuck Baldwin.

I’ve no problem with principled people voting their conscience.

I do like to point out the mathematics of the situation. The more votes McCain gets, the more likely he wins. Palin is a conservative. If she becomes the VP, it is very likely that she will one day be the Republican candidate for president.

So...you could vote for Palin. Her name is on the ticket, too.

I cannot see the dilemma. Sorry, I just can’t. Vote for McCain, or you may GET Obama by default. You will be a Libertarian no longer, otherwise.

With Mccain/Palin, at least we have a chance of taking the ball and running with it (rebuilding the party, while maintaining some sense of control - albeit not as much as we'd like).

With Obama, and a House and Senate controlled by the left - Pelosi and Reid, all is not lost, that is until they consolidate power and stack the Supreme Court with a plethora of Ginsbergs.

Then, your high-minded, thoughtful considerations at this juncture, will be DEEPLY regretted, particularly by our children, and their children...

Do we REALLY want, and can we REALLY survive an American Jugo Chavez, or Adolf Hitler?

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention, libertarians will be flushed down the drain with the conservatives. We’ll all be Joe the plumber getting an anal exam from our friendly local government office.

I’m glad 0bama didn’t happen to be wandering my street that day. He has a habit of destroying the lives of anyone that gets in the way of his agenda.

If you approve of Chicago machine politics running the whole country, then sit on your precious hands.

Vote for whomever you want, n00b. If you’re really undecided, write yourself in, then you can tell your grandkids that you got a vote for president in 2008.

Truly either voting for anybody other than McCain for POTUS or truly not voting at all in the Presidential race will certainly help Obama and help to create long term socialism throughout the entire U.S.! Do you really want to ruin the entire U.S. as a country with long-term socialism? McCain stinks, but Obama is really profoundly worse for the entire country! Vote McCain/Palin on November 4, or be forced to see long-term socialism exist throughout the entire U.S.!

Many feel the same way as you do. However, the agenda of Obama and his radical group of marxist/socialists in our legislature is so antithetical to American’s freedom that, if he is elected, you might not have another chance to make a real choice. I am voting for McCain primarily to stop Obama. If he is stopped we will be able to fight another day for a candidate that is perhaps more compatible with our political philosophy. If Obama wins, there is a chance that we will not have the opportunity to vote in another, at least mostly, fair election. Obama and ACORN corruption must be stopped. That is the most we can do for now but it is essential that we do stop them.

Obama is a danger to the Republican that would, if he had his druthers, drastically change our Constitution. McCain, not so much. There really is no comparison. Don’t view it as voting for McCain, view it as voting against Obama and socialism.

I can relate. I’m no fan of McCain. In fact, I had no intention of voting for him and was all set to cast a protest libertarian vote. Then, along came Sarah Palin. Brilliant! She is the one, and only, conservative voice in the crowd. I have absolutely no problem pulling the trigger for her benefit. But you have to vote *your* conscience FRiend. Good luck.
