I was on a random college football board and someone supposedly posted the numbers, so take it for what's its worth.

Keep fighting hard for every vote! (no matter what the polls say)

Way too much randomness on this thread for me .

I’ll keep working like McCain is 5 points down though ..

Remember to Vote!

Send message and work hard to help McCain/Palin. See, we cannot be over confident in this because the media will try to say two things, so people will stay home and not vote by over confident or defeated.

1) That the race is closer and that McCain can win.

2) That Obama is wining big time and he will make is big win speech at the Chicago Park Nov. 4
People can be sad and retreat by this news!

Remember is not over & is over!
GO>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>->Vote for McCain/Palin in NOV 4.

God bless America!

Search FR. It has been posted before. Supposedly the registered ‘Rats are early voting at nearly 2:1 over registered Pubs which SHOULD predict an easy win in Florida, but instead, McCain appears to be the one ahead. This means that HUGE numbers of Dems simply cannot stomach the thought of Obama as the president and are pulling the lever for McCain. If this keeps up, ALL the polls will be totally off by far more than the margin of error.

Dick Morris is saying that if Obama does not poll BETTER THAN 48% by election day, then he is toast.

Yes , Morris is right in the fact that B.O. is , in a sense , the defacto incumbent . B.O. can’t truly break 50 and the number of undecideds is quite high . Advantage McCain ...

Florida Today is saying the same thing—

http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20081029/BREAKINGNEWS/81029048/1006/news01

But party breakdowns for turnout aren’t the same as final tallies, and at least one poll offered a different view for the campaign of Republican John McCain.

A Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll gave McCain a 49-45 lead over Democrat Barack Obama among Floridians who have already voted.

... and the other 7% are voting for whom? That sounds like a big percentage not going for either O or M — sounds fishy to me.

For what it's worth. Just traveled from a small seacoast town in southern Maine to a so-called mill town. For fun, I counted the Obama and McCain signs. To my complete amazement, the McCain signs outnumbered Obama three to one. In contrast, there were many, many more signs for the local democrat candidate. What does this mean? Will these people split their vote or are they just leery of putting up Obama signs?

agreed.
As I’ve said before early voting is a crock...
Stupid Exit Polls... Registration, then straight to voting... it’s a racket.

You have ALL year to plan for the first tuesday in november to vote.

Zer0 does indeed seem like an incumbent. He has been running for president non stop for 2 years. Ever since he got to the Senate 4 years ago he has been in the public eye. I think he has been on TV so long people think he is like the president already. As Truman said about Dewey, he went around for so long acting like he was president, people wanted a change!

As far as this 49-44 number, I would like specifics. But those figures are similar to the LA Times (!!) poll of FL early voters showing McCain ahead 49-45. If that is correct then I think McCain should take FL by at least as much as Bush did.
