An earlier thread was pulled before I could comment on this. I thought this should be discussed.

I'm skeptical of the entire birth certificate saga, but I found this particular article a bit strange.

Director Fukino says that she has personally seen Obama's original birth certificate. But, she didn't come out and confirm that he was actually born in Hawaii. Is that implied by the fact that there actually is a birth certificate? Or is there a legitimate set of circumstances where someone born to a resident of Hawaii would have a birth certificate on file?

There's also an AP article here:

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iw1At-4G1xuE50oXVFRlBPfR3dqgD945OLU00

It opens with "State officials say there's no doubt Barack Obama was born in Hawaii." But, they didn't actually say that -- at least in any article I've found.

Fukino is a defendant in a lawsuit on the 18th concerning this case from what I’ve read. Sounds like a typical defendant-type statement. Still skeptical.

There would be no reason for DOH in Hawaii to have a copy of Obama’s birth certificate if he was not born there. Sorry I have no intention of voting for the guy but give this issue a rest. The way the State handles this is how many States do. You are not an interested party you do not have access to the records. Can you imagine the increased identity theft if anyone could see anybody’s birth certificate?

Another question is does it match the information on the COLB that the Obama camp released or is his name different?

Director Fukino says that she has personally seen Obama's original birth certificate.

Wouldn't that constitute a breach in privacy without having the individuals permission to view the document?

What higher ‘tangible interest’ is there than the President of the United States. Bring forth the document. We don’t believe you.

There never was a question whether the Satte of Hawaii has the original birth certificate.

WHAT DOES IT SAY?

Lei wearing dummies.

"State law (Hawai'i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record," said DOH Director Chiyome Fukino.

Well, excuse me but would running for president be a tangible interest. That said, I think it is a non issue, but why hide it?

What part of that do you not understand Fukino? I am a citizen of this country, and a coup d’état is going on right under my nose, and paper-pushing tyrants like you think I am a peasant/vassal/slave/idiot who has no “tangible interest” in an unlawful seizure of power by this Marxist/Muslim.

Fukino adds that no state leaders, including Governor Lingle, has asked the certificate be handled in any way different from any one else's vital records in state possession.

Huh? It was widely reported that gov. Lingle "sealed" Obama's birth certificate! Was that story another Axelrod astroturf campaign?

I never doubted that Obama was actually born in Hawaii.

I DO BELIEVE his religion (didn’t they have to list that at the time) was listed as Muslim.

Or something else very incriminating.

Why else would he avoid this, unless he WANTED the conservative opposition to “bark up the wrong tree” and thus spin its wheels at nothing.

Have the official say Obama was born in HI under oath.

That said, I don’t care about this issue right now anyway. I always thought it was a distraction from Obama’s communist, anti-Semite allies and his socialist positions.

“Director Fukino says that she has personally seen Obama’s original birth certificate.”

She says the original birth cert is “on record.” That doesn’t mean it originated in HI. IMHO.

If there were nothing to hide, he would have produced it a long time ago. It’s that simple.
Obama is banking on the fact that nobody cares.
He is right... his money is safe.

If the average citizen cannot even distinguish between capitalism and socialism, then how can they be expected to know what is in our constitution and why?

Key words...

"Sen. Obama's original birth certificate". If his name was changed to BARRY SOETORO by adoption, the original would have been SEALED by the court at time of adoption. Don't know how foreign adoptions are handled.

The Indonesian school records indicate he was born in Hawaii as well (which could have been filed with an affidavit of a "witness" even if he was born in Kenya) so the birth certificate in Hawaii isn't necessarily the issue. Indonesian citizenship should be a disqualifier where ever he was born, but since his campaign has played games with this issue, there's probably something there that he doesn't want to be released.

There is a difference between an actual record of birth, and a registration of birth.

A child could be born elsewhere, and his/her parents register his/her birth in Hawaii. The registration would state exactly where the child was born.

That is what I think Obama is protecting. The registration of his birth — which I believe shows he was born in Keyna. His mother being a U.S. citizen meant that Obama was born a U.S. citizen — contingent on his mother meeting certain U.S. residency requirements. Which it appears she didn’t even care enough of her son, to meet the U.S. residency requirements to safeguard his U.S. citizenship.

His mother must have been a piece of work. She conceived him out of wedlock, kept him from having a father, robbed him of his U.S. citizenship by allowing him to be adopted by an Indoneasian, chose his sister over him to live with her, and pushed him off on her parents to raise.

Back to Obama’s losing his U.S. citizenship due to his mother’s actions — when Obama was legally adopted by his Indonesian step father, Obama definitely lost whatever right he had to U.S. citizenship.

I’m sure that Obama feels that none of this was his fault — his mother was a U.S. citizen and he was a victim of the actions of his communist-loving, America-hating mother.

That’s my opinion.

I don’t think that any of this searching for the truth about his birth/citizenship/passport, etc., is going away, no matter how this election turns out.

Obama will probably regret to his dying day his run for the White House — because the matter of his birth, the matter of his mother, etc., will haunt him forever.

And, no, I don’t think he will be elected. God will continue to bless America. America has done more good for the inhabitants of this planet than any other country.

And if there is civil unrest caused by even a small segment of the black community after this election, whether or not Obama is elected, it will be hundreds of years before another black attempts it. And then, it will probably be a black woman who gets elected. My opinion.
