I grew up in Berrien County which borders Indiana and right on "The Lake" across from Chicago.

Besides Benton Harbor, the rest of the county USED TO BE fairly conservative. One of my best friends, who lives in Bridgeman Michigan has always voted LIB. Our "political discussions" are "quite interesting".

There are Republicans... in Michigan?

Lop off Detroit and we'd be the reddest State in the Union!

(Well, you'd have to ditch Berkley East, A.K.A. Ann Arbor, too...)

Especially in Ottawa county.

Ohhh!!! That's good for our side. Ottawa is as republican is Wayne County is democrat. If Holland area shows up big time, that's great!!!

If one has lived long enough, then you will recall our state being the “welfare” state. We may return to such a wonderful status if Obama gets elected along with the lackluster leadership of the most worst governor in the United States.

Detroit precincts are always the last to figure out how many votes are needed. They could exceed their actual population this year...Cynicism or Sarcasm, you decide!

Big voter turnout early this morning in West Michigan. Voters began lining up at 6:00am with long lines forming quickly.

It's the same in Fairfield, CT, too.

Watch the rust belt folks, PA, MI, MN and WI... I’m telling you and have been telling you, Fauxbama is going to lose states here, absolutely no doubt about it.

My little commie/ghetto percent was fairly full, but not the, OMG I’m going to be in line for 4 hours, ordeal one would expect. I think part of that was because they changed locations to a smaller room than 4 years ago. My precent is 80% black, 15% hipster/hippie and a 5% motley collection of conservatives, so I never harbored any hopes of a upset here.

I had to stare at the wall while in line, just so I could avoid seething at the people that would vote liberty away so easily. But oh how I relished voting for McPalin! And I know the outer edge of the black hole of Grand Rapids will always balance out this train wreck we have here every 4 years.

btw, they switched to ink pens as a way to fill in ballots. apparently the IQ of my district was too low to handle punching cards.

Given the active “work” by the acornuts, Detroit could actually vote over a million people...right? Oh wait, that was back in the 50’s. But who knows...?

Went to my precinct (precinct #2) in Jenison, Georgetown township......I was the ONLY person in the place at 8:08 AM. I had to crack jokes just to keep the workers alive. I presented them with my photo ID (my Costco card which my wife insists I carry) and she was good with it. She was about 18 years old...not that bright at all. She was not able to verify my address when I pulled out my Concealed Pistol Permit for her as it did not have an updated address on it...I pulled out my actual drivers license for her and she didnt know there was a new address on the back......god help us. I accused her of being an ACORN plant for not knowing how to verify an ID.....she didnt know what ACORN was.
God help us....I am sitting at home now watching B Hussein Osamma cast his vote with his commie wife LIVE on FOX news right now......I wonder if he is going to vote PRESENT and not for himself ........sickening.

When I go to bed tonight, I would sleep peacefully when Michigan votes for McCain. This is my dream.

Well I don’t know which states other than PA will turn, PA is definately going McCain.. but I do know the problems for Fauxbama in PA are the same problems he’s going to have across the rust belt. He will not hold this region, he’s goign to lose at least one more state besides PA, if not more. Whether it is MN,WI or MI, or various combinations of them I don’t know, but it will happen.

Well, we can hope. At least at age 18 she is up and doing something constructive. That is why we need people just like you to remind them of the importance of what they are doing. Congrats!

Prediction: union card check will be a big factor in the rust belt states. The union bosses love it, but I can’t imagine that the rank and file are looking forward to it. The prospect of a President BHO, Speaker Pelosi and Sen. Majority Leader Reed ramming this through will motivate a lot of rust belters to vote for McCain.
