“McCain must get nearly 60% of Greene County to win Missouri.”

Oh, he’ll DEFINITELY get that!!! When I went to the Sarah Palin rally in Springfield, she drew thousands and thousands and thousands of people!!!! I was lucky enough to get in, but there were thousands of people behind me.

Greene County will go for McCain-Palin by a HUGE margin, and then we’ll carry Missouri!!!

““broken glass” conservatives...the type of election where you’d walk over broken glass to get your vote out”

I really have NO IDEA how this is all going to end, but I am encouraged by what I have seen, and what I am hearing.

the ANTI-OBAMA vote could be as large as the Pro-Obama vote!

Slapout is a tiny, very rural, very red area. Our 2007 census population was 2473.

This was the 5th presidential election in which I have participated at this polling place. I always go to vote at 10:00 AM because, in the past, there has never been a line at that time.

This morning I arrived at 10:00 and had to wait in line for the first time ever. I was the 257th person to vote. That is 10% of our entire town's population and probably 50% of the people assigned to this polling place.

I feel this is a good indicator of what is happening nationally, as Alabama is a red state and turn out does not have the effect on our electoral votes that it has in other states. If my little town is turning out in droves to vote this election, I guarantee it means the rednecks nationally will be doing the same thing...IF, that is, we can let go of our guns and God long enough!!!

We’re posting this for our employees.
Notice to All Employees

As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama is officially elected into office, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:

1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales commissions into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are underachieving a “fair shake.”

2. All hourly employees will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst yourselves. This will help those who are “too busy for overtime” to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.

3. All top management will now be referred to as “the government.” We will not participate in this “pooling” experience because the law doesn’t apply to us.

4. The “government” will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard “for the good of all.”

5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it’s “good to spread the wealth.” Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more “patriotic.”

6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don’t feel bad though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he’ll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can’t pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn’t all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?) !!!

If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.

Went to the poll today in South Alabama. It was nice seeing all the conservatives and military familes out voting. This is one of the reasons we love living here. For those of you in “Indian Country”, keep fighting.

National Review Magazine’s ‘The Corner’ and their ‘Campaign Spot’ are very good with the buzz.

Just voted in Central MA — lines are L-O-N-G. The guy in front of me in the check out line voted for McCain (hell yeah I peeked). So did the guy behind me — my husband. :)

I was there as well. They estimated 20,000.

Bush got nearly 60% in 2000 in Greene County, just over 55% in 2004. However, we need bigger numbers in Greene, Christian, Newton and Jasper counties to offset urban KC and St. Louis.

There will be surprises today. An upset victory. Mccain will win N. Carolina, Ohio.

Does anyone need yet another reminder of the Parade of Horribles that awaits an Obamastan win? I’ve got a boiled-down list if needed.

The wife and I just came back from voting in our precinct, which is located in a small community south of Detroit, MI. No lines, and everything went smoothly. Also, enforcement people were out clearing away political signage from the voting site (an elementary school), which is a law in Michigan (none can be closer than 200ft. from the voting place). It was heartening to see that, as there have been some instances of Obama/Biden shenanigans down here these last couple of weeks.

We used those fill-in-the-oval bubble sheets, which were then ran through an optical scanner. Very efficient. Lots of NRA members and other folks wearing “Vote for Life” lapel buttons and such. I’m retired Navy (22 years) and my wife did 10 years herself, so I was wearing my last command ballcap, with a few of my decorations and my final rank insignia. Everybody that saw me, said “Go McCain!” That was nice.

My wife and I drove the neigborhoods surrounding this voting place, and we counted up the two campaigns’ yard signs (McCain-Palin vs. Obama-Biden). The McCain-Palin yard signs were more numerous, beating out Obama-Biden by about 11 signs, out of the 80 total we counted. Totally unscientific, but maybe a harbinger of good things to come.

If you haven’t already done so, GET OUT AND VOTE!! The battle isn’t over until our man John McCain says it is, and if we go down to glorious defeat (unlikely), then we go down with our heads held high. More likely, we’ll pull this out, with the help of our fine PUMA allies, and really begin to pull this country back together again.

God Bless America, God Bless the men and women serving in our military, and God Bless the people of this, the greatest nation on the face of the Earth.

BK

Don’t know what to think, our polling place in a small town, has already had over 700 people! I think usually when I go they have only had 300 or so. I am in Ohio so we are a battleground state.
