I just talked to one of my best Team McCain sources who told me that heading into today all the key battleground polls were moving hard and fast in their direction. The source, hardly a perma-optimist, thinks it will be a long night, but that McCain is going to win. So add this with the new Battleground poll (Obama +1.9 only) and the rising stock market...

An African-American friend of mine here in Ohio, who he and I always "argue" politics" was going to vote for Obama. He called me minutes ago to tell me he couldn't do it. I had changed his mind and he couldn't bring himself to vote for Obama.

Good for you!

I have a gut feeling there are going to be a lot of changed minds before this day is through.

...Plus what about Michigan?

Heavy turnout here in West Michigan, a real strong red portion of the state. Hope it’s enough to overcome Detoilet. I’m mildly hopeful! Especialy when the liberal Ann Arbor newspaper endorsed Mac.

Just out of curiosity, why is an architect a liberal profession?

and the rising stock market...

Don't get confused by the market, which was already in big time rally mode the past week. The stock market has reasons to rally if Obama wins, at least initially. The market wants a "clean" win, with no controversy. The market also wants no 60 vote Senate majority. Chuck Schumer said this morning he did not think Dems would get it. The market rallied sharply afterward, despite a horrendous economic report.

You know, all I know is I did my best. i delivered my entire small family and got 20 other people to vote for mccain.

My mother and father who have never voted for a pubbie for president before voted for mccain, which was due to my nagging.

I know my state,,,,west virginia, is going to vote right.

Ive got some glenlivet special blend scotch and Im going to drink some of it tonight no matter what. I may even eat a couple of pieces of pizza.

Anyway, my stomach is so eat up today with worry I dont know whether to kill myself or go bowling,

Hard and fast?

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.

“I’m in CA and voted for McCain this morning to counteract an 0bamazombie vote. I know our guy can’t win the state, but every vote counts in the “popular vote” argument that’s sure to arise.”

That’s true, but the main reason I vote here in MA is that if I did not, I would feel like a hypocrite, having posted lots of messages on FR (and several to relatives and friends) opposing Obama but not bothering to vote myself.

P.S. I’m a “Three Kids’ Dad”

Heads up. It was around this time of day 4 years ago that those bogus exit polls got leaked on Drudge that put a knot in millions of knickers, so don’t get snookered again today.

Whereabouts are you on the southern tier? I lived and worked in Outer Bingolia (Binghamton) for 13 years.

It was a relief to escape - first to Georgia, now to Kansas.

God bless, FRiend.

I waited the longest ever to vote this morning (Suburb North of Grand Rapids.) The heavy turn out in West Michigan won't matter. Detoilet will as usual wait until they know how many dead votes they need to report to carry Michigan for the Commies again.

"Ive got some glenlivet special blend scotch"

I've got some Lagavulin which has a higher iodine content.

Might come in handy to protect my pituitary in case Al Qaeda decides to follow Biden's lead and test Obama by nuking LA.

Doesn’t matter in Philly. How many whites live there anymore?

Our family stopped there last spring on our educational vacation of DC to see the historic sites. Except for the actual historic sites (heavily patrolled by thuggish black ‘security’), the city was AWFUL. I mean, we had kind of heard stories, but this was BAD. My husband insisted we leave the city even before dinner time so we didn’t get stuck in traffic or after dark. My husband says he hopes the kids remembered everything they saw there, because we were never going back for a second look!
