“We lived through the Clintons, we will live through Obama.”

Well, your odds will be better if you don’t live in or near a big ciy.

Well, if it’s true, then yes, I will move all my money offshore, and sell this huge house in California, take the money and run. let them try to find me for the capital gains. Screw Obamanation, and screw the democrats. let them figure out what to do with when the money leaves the US

News report just in from Ohio - the lowest Republican voter turnout ever (as a percent of registered voters). In other words - Republicans in Ohio chose to LET Obama win the state.

Saxby, McConnell and Wicker look safe, that means a filibuster in the senate. We should be able to stop the really radical stuff.

And then dig in and hope the GOP has learned it’s lesson about moderate bipartisanship.

It’s amazing - I just went to the OH Sec. of State’s site and it has the following:

McCain, John (R) 49.56% 290,172
Obama, Barack (D) 48.84% 285,951

Statewide Precincts Reporting: 13.57%

Sickening. I don’t think this will be the same country for my kids that I grew up in. There’s a lot of stupid Americans in this country.

If 0bama has won, we’re looking at four more Carter years. A big dose of castor oil for us. And when it’s over, maybe we’ll get a successor like the President who followed Carter.

“more interested in American Idol and Dancing With the Stars “

Don’t watch Idol.
Used to watch Dancing until Heroes came back on air.

Still voted McCain/Palin.
Felt good too.

Aww hell.

I’m just ashamed of the Blacks in America, not my country. When that number of people will just carte blanche vote for an evil man because he is the same skin color as them, that speaks volumes to ME.

I shouldn't think this way, but it seems like race does matter as you pointed out. I cannot condemn anyone on the other side voting for McCain because he's White. I know my father, he's still a George Wallace supporter, I think he voted for McCain. I know in the 1968 election, E.G. Marshall, said basically that we all have the right to vote our prejudices, right or wrong. I'm glad there are Blacks here on FR who do "get it" and I'm not trying to paint them with the wide brush we are using here, but wen I go out in the hinterlands and see things happening, I'm afraid the stereotypes and prejudices do have a lot of truth behind them. It's doesn't affect the Blacks only but the young as well. I'm having bad thoughts, I'm trying to suppress tem but seeing the gimmee crowd as well as the idea of making history as the first Black President over substance and the war or terror makes me ill. I'm praying for God to comfort me, right now, even that is a tall order, I don't doubt His powers but I'm so jaded and cynical now. I think if this has an effect on level headed me, I'm afraid this will set race relations back decades because the backlash will blind people. We need the backlash but we must keep our focus on the target, Barak the Communist, not the race, but some will not be that way. I am sad that I am writing this but I have to be honest. I can't ignore what I see.

Many of us suspected it -- it is almost a repeat of 1996.

Question now is: Will McCain get at least as many EV's as Dole's 159?

2006 didn't wake up the GOP. Maybe this will.

Me too. How many trillions of welfare dollars down the rat hole, and they just voted to take more, do less, and who knows what else. And they have also told us how much they hate whites.

Liberals and Marxists have always irked me.

After 9/11/01, Muslims moved higher on my radar.

After 11/4/08, another group has joined them.

We are truly in a war of ideals.

Maybe it’s time for republicans to pull their money out of the markets and let the dems wallow in their own feces. As long as we have the money, we still have power.
Pull it out of the market and stuff it under a mattress!! Lets start NOW!!

I agree with everything except waiting for 4 years to change things. We start working for 2010 NOW. Anyone want to take bets on how long it takes Obama to lower/lose the tax cut? My prediction is March 10, the Ides of March.

“It’s been over. We were just too blind or stupid to admit it. I urge you all to do everything in your power to ruin this beast’s presidency and his ability to lead. Don’t support him or his policies EVER, no matter what.”

It will be at least 2 years before we can do a durn thing.

Until then we will never hear the word “veto”

Media ran this campaign for Obama so that is why he has won.

Hey, where's the Fairness Doctrine? Talk about an un-level playing field! (just kidding)

THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING! IT'S OVER BEFORE THE PRECINCTS ARE EVEN COUNTED!

Seriously, you people buying into this calling the state before the votes are counted stuff are the worst kinds of trolls.
