I think that the best place to lay the blame for last nights debacle is the U.S Dept of Education. 40 years worth of liberal non-education has paid off for the loony left. I'll bet that out of those 60 million voters that chose the left yesterday, not one in 10 thousand could accurately define socialism. Well, we are about to have to learn about it the hard way.

Despite having everything possible in his favor, including a weak GOP candidate, overwhelmingly positive news coverage, an unpopular sitting president AND a huge market downturn a month prior to the election, Obama posted a grand total of 3 million more votes than Kerry did in 2004, or about 60,000 per state on average and we KNOW that every loony lefty in the country turned out to vote for him, too.
If the GOP can get its act together, we’ll be fine for 2010 and/or 2012, at least as far as election viability is concerned. The country itself? Well, I expect the Dems to make a total mess of that.
Absolutely correct. The best use of time and energy to counter this maybe implementing vouchers on a much more widespread scale, but it had better be done quick before democrats completely reshape the state and lower courts.
HOME SCHOOL the only way to guarantee your child will not be filled with propaganda. Catholic schools have now become as bad as secular given the infiltration of left wingers into the education system.

Not balderdash! Fact! If your children, if you have any, have escaped the brain sucking factory of public education count yourself very, very lucky. I spent a lot of time with two retired teachers yesterday, conservatives too, and they readily acknowledge what has been happening in the public schools. Unfortunately they had no solution as they think the union has such a strong hold it will never be broken. Both agreed that they would never send their children to a public school in todays “academic” environment.
A 25% dropout rate!!! Where did you see that?
The wealthy, liberal white-guilt driven media and ACORN are indeed major issues on our necks. As are the ill-prepared children that are brainwashed by schools and sent to further brainwashing at colleges when they are old enough to vote.
Say no to the PTA!!!!!!!!!!! The PTA is a national organization of people who want the government to do everything for everyone. But most parents don’t want to see that. They go along to get along. Research the national PTA. It’s just as bad as a teachers’ union. Shoot, it’s an arm of teachers’ unions.
Our problem is character/morality not schools/education nor the “dumbing down of America” ... so there, put that in your pipe and smoke it (remember that from grade school). Define the illness and you are more likely to find a cure.
As I have said before we are not coming under judgment but have been under judgment for the last fifty years at least.
We shake our fist in the face of God and tell Him to get out of our business and take His Son's name with Him.
We tell Him we will decide what is right and what is wrong then proceed to justify and legalize what He calls sin and abomination two of which are child sacrifice and sodomy.
Then we thumb our noses at His strict plain warning not to touch that one little piece of ground in the entire universe that He kept for Himself and says is very Holy to Him.
We stick our noses right in the middle of it and pressure the people there to do our will and defy His.
We meddle with the land and the city of Jerusalem that He continually has His eye on and an intense personal feeling for.
Yes we pressure them to take the land that He says He loves and is Holy to Him chop it up in pieces and give it to their and His sworn enemies who defile it in the worst possible ways.
Yes we are under God's judgment and the heat is being gradually turned up hoping we will come to our senses and return to our first love.
God' does not have to do anything to us but to take His hand off and let us have our own way.
This is God's creation and He is in charge and His will,will be done.
In what I believe is the too distant future He is going to make His presence known in the Mideast in a way that the World and Israel will know It was Him that solves the Middle East problem that man has found to be too difficult.

You are correct. There are a few heroic teachers and principles, but they are few and far removed from any meaningful influence.
Public schools are the only way the left has a chance after they murder all of their own kids.

But do you think education in the home can overcome the constant barrage of liberalism that exists today in every aspect of life? In a perfect world there would be a mommy and daddy in every home who put their children before everything. They would define their character by example and educate them about morality. But that is not the real world we live in, the truth of the matter is that there is a war going on for the minds of our children and the other side lives in the public school buildings and has the legal right to demand you deliver your child to them every day for “education”.
