Vanity: Women elect Barack Obama
vanity | November 5, 2008 | me

According to the exit polls at http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president/, Obama and McCain were almost tied in the men's vote, 49% to 48%, but women voted for Obama by 56% to 43%.

I have occasionally discussed politics with women and usually found it frustrating. They think in a very different manner than I do. I am trying to phrase this in a neutral manner.

Suggestions on how to reclaim womens' votes are welcome. Although some women vote Republican, I think their overall support for the Democratic candidate is worth discussing, since the 19th Amendment is not going to be repealed.

Got that right. Single women overwhelmingly support Dems. Obviously looking someone to provide security and protection. Of course, they are all feminist to one degree or another. Goes back to break down of traditional life and values. Had they been married and raising a family, they’d more likely be republican. ( Yes, I know their are conservative single women and leftist married mothers.)

Yeah, and one of them was my lifelong republican mother.

My sister told me that she believed all the crapola being thrown at Sarah Palin and that’s why she went Obama.

Unbelievable.

Thanks, Mom.

I think single women expect the government to give them what a man either can’t or is unwilling to. I wouldn’t want to give these type of women anything either, especially my paycheck. They’re depressing, self-loathing, whiny, “victims.”

What say you to this GOP Lady who has always volunteered for the GOP and voted straight Republican? Do you want to take away my right to vote? What say you to Sarah Palin and all GOP women who are elected officials? Do you want to take away their right to vote? RIDICIULOUS. Stop this chauvenistic nonsense. I know plenty of men that I think should not be voting. Let's discuss that.

This woman didn’t elect that bastid. Although, I see the point that is attempting to be made. Kind of like making the “macho” argument. Whatever.

Let’s forget about taking back the vote from women... and instead let’s just have a basic intelligence test prior to being able to vote.

My niece’s daughter who had to vote for BHO since he is black. (Just like her poor oppressed boyfriend - who is a lazy bum not working while she is paying all the bills!)And since he was poor, just like her, he understands how it is to be poor. And he is going to change how the country is run so the future will be better. - Now she has no clue what he is going to change or how he plans to change... but she knows it will be for “the better”.

After her didactic lecture on how “we” didn’t understand how BHO was going to save America... do you realize she didn’t even know that BHO was the “democrat”ic canidate?

Sigh

I've personally financially helped a couple of women I work with like that. They are in a bad way because of the bad choices.

Unfortunately, this election was won through the emotions, not the intellect, which shows the feminization of society. And that’s not a good thing. Overfeminization is a sign of decadence.

Sarah had a big effect. McCain would have only got 30% or less without her. The women rejected McCain.

Women earn less than men and so have less to lose.

Men, especially white men, are used by the state.

Oh, and they’re going to get really used over the next 4 years.

LOL, you really are not PC. Which is ok but I differ with your opinion.

“I’m not PC. Suspend the 19th amendment. The Founders didn’t give females the vote for good reason. Liberal females vote for daddy government so they can sit around on their fat butts, drink beer, watch soap operas and demand someone else pick up the tab for their idiot commie kids.”

So ALL women get punished because of the loser lib females? C’mon now! It’s like saying the GOP women are the same as the Lib women. You KNOW that’s not true.

Guess what? I’m the person who influenced my husband to vote GOP. You want to take away my right to vote? Crazy. Stop this nonsense.

I was hoping Sarah Palin would have an impact. I guess she was not woman enough.

Palin was more of a man than her running mate was.
