How many Congressmen (Republican and Democrat) were defeated that were for the "bailout?" Who were they?
Mine was. Tim Walberg Michigan 7th district.
The sad thing was that the local fishwrap endorsed the democtrat for no other reason than he promised freebies from government. They even said Walberg was a good honest man but he wasn’t bringing home the pork.
That is something I would like to know, too. Hope someone is able to put together the info.
Mine was AGAINST the bailout. Duh.
That’s a shame.
He lost by 2% and the greens and libertarians took 3% between them. Sadly, the RINO he defeated in 06 endorsed the democrat.
Answer: Not Enough
Mine wasn’t. Sadly because he is a big spending Dem.
Not enough of them.
That jowly old crook Murtha was re-elected here in PA.
After he called his constituents rednecks and racists, even.
Randy Kuhl (R) NY 29th voted against the bailout the first time. After the pork goddies were added he voted for it. He lost to Massa.

Those people get what they deserved if they elected someone who would insult them to their face. Its sad that he didn’t call them idiots too because thats what the majority of people in his district are.
Saxby Chambliss is close, recount close.
Lee Terry (Nebraska Second) was against it first time then voted for it.
He narrowly defeated the Dem, but his district went for Obama giving him one Electoral College vote. Nebraska has two statewide and one for each district. So, we went McCain 4, Obama 1.
I hate Schwartz more than almost any other politician. What an arrogant piece of trash. I still can't believe we are likely to be stuck with Shauer for the foreseeable future.
Knollenberg R, MI lost his seat to Peters.
Yep, Schwarz is a spitefull nasty little man. After being defeated by Walberg he filed failed ethics complaints with the FEC, was involved in a failed recall attempt, and finally announced a write in campaign the day before the election that Walberg won.
