The Constitution doesn't give Obama the power to address the issues that he wants to address. In fact, the people could practically shut down the federal government if they demanded that the feds start respecting the Constitution that they have sworn to defend, particularly the following statutes, in my opinion.
Article I, Section 8, Clause 18: To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution (emphasis added) in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Or do the people merely like to complain as opposed to actually getting the constitutionally-limited federal government that they want?

The Constitution doesn't give Obama the power

"The One" can ignore that old dusty rag, the constitution. His minions in congress can override any opposition and allow him to be our first Caesar for the greater glory of the democrat party.

No, he quit smoking. He’s up to 45 packs of Nicorette gum per day. He’s still in favor of killing babies.

He went to Harvard, he has a brilliant plan...Let the illegal immigrants come in and pay FICA, FUTA instead of the millions of dead American children who should be here.

Nothing about how even after gaining 250 it was still down 750 since the election.

There's been quite a bit of commentary on the financial services. Though there's been some O cheering before the election, the general mood has been one of a developing disaster, and how to ride it out.

The "Hold, it'll come back" voices have been pretty quiet, moving aside to technical analysis on which stocks will suffer most/least from Zero's policies, how to keep from losing ALL your money, the inevitable global dominoe effect, and which sectors could benefit - eventually - from the acorn prince.

Surprisingly, the promised cheering and screams of glee at the prospect of taking billions of dollars of shareholder's money to make good on bribing voters to begin the dismantling of our economy by hiring this Marxist POS were absent./s

“their goals are different”

I don’t really understand what and whose goals you’re talking about. If it’s between Dims and investors, you’re right.

Obama should have been a great deal more prepared for a win than he was. Not only were we faced with the current level of uncertainty prior to the election, his win added a whole other level simply because no one really knows what the new administration and congress will be doing. It would have been nice if he had a treasury secretary lined up, and the party had a clear and more detailed action plan.

My complaint was more about how they aren’t prepared, don’t have any clear plans, and they all just sat around while the stock market tanked rather than providing the needed leadership that would calm everyone down.

“If the idea is to kill their children before they’re born, why do they call it “reproductive rights?” If the unborn child is thought of as an unwanted parasite, why do they call the parasite’s godless host a “mother?””

I don’t really know the answer to that, but it is probably for the same reason that they refer to the person who takes care of the “unwanted parasite” a “doctor”.
