MoveOn.org Gave $88 Million for Obama Victory

"Hope" and "change" (and a whole lot of money) propelled Obama to victory.

After endorsing President-elect Obama last February, MoveOn.org Political Action's 4.5 million members contributed more than $88 million towards Barack Obama's presidential campaign, the organization announced on Wednesday. And more than 1 million MoveOn.org members worked in a trail-blazing field effort in coordination with the Obama campaign.

In the 2008 presidential campaign, MoveOn.org and its members admitted they:

– Contributed more than $58 million directly to Obama's campaign.

– Raised and spent more than $30 million in independent election efforts.

– Delivered up to 600,000 battleground state volunteers. 400,000 more volunteers participated from non-battleground states.

– Added 1 million young members from June to September 2008, and mobilized them online and offline.

– Registered more than 500,000 new young Obama supporters in battleground states.

The executive director of MoveOn.org, Eli Pariser, said in a statement on Obama's victory, "Our members sense the opportunity to achieve things that seemed improbable if not impossible only a year ago. For our members, this is the culmination of a decade of work to build a progressive, people-driven politics in America."

Classy lady that Sarah is, she didn't wear pantsuits. I hope she stays strong and comes back to the National stage soon.

Are You Ready to Redistribute Your Wealth ?

After all, paying taxes is “patriotic.”

Actually, no. I could run my business underground if I wanted to. I have a feeling many others could too.

If the truth is ever revealed, I suspect strongly that Soros and his willing accomplices drove up oil prices and caused the banking meltdown. The timing is too precise to be coincidence.
Another interesting phenomena is the opposition of the Patriot Acts provision to intercept foreign communications, which would of course enabled the interception of campaign cash from the middle east.

It’s legal for one organization to donate $85 million after the campaign reform of McCain?
I am shocked.

Sadly, with the Obamafascists now in charge, we’ll NEVER be allowed to know how much overseas cash went in to Obama’s coffers.

In 2004, over 1/3 of MoveOn’s cash came from NON-U.S. donors. I wonder how much came this year?

Me too. She certainly was a real breath of fresh air. I still have the gut feeling that McCain held her back on what she really could do. I feel this gal could have ripped Obama to shreds. It was like she was limited to somewhat talking points rather that let the tiger fully out of the tank. Just my gut feeling that this lady is really a Regan in dress suits.

Do you ever wonder if McCain really wanted to win? I am so sad for our country. I have lived in a Socialist country. Socialism=everyone equally miserably.

A Lefty friend asked me if i would ever vote for a woman for President (she was a Hillary! supporter). i said, of course if there was a Margaret Thatcher on the horizon. We’ll see how Sarah comes along.
