Will Republicans stop treating Democrats as they are honorable people?

Posted on 11/11/2008 5:25:26 AM PST by reaganator

The "New Tone" is over, it was a failure.

Is there anything more Democrats must do to prove they are dishonorable scoundrels? With the help of the MSM they have been promoting an economic downturn for years. After being major players in the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae meltdown they have had the audacity to state that Bush economic policies had been the cause. They always make this accusation in venues where they cannot be asked, "Which Bush economic policies?" As Governor Scoundrel Strickland of Ohio.

The Democrats openly campaigned for American military defeat. Doing so attributed to many more casulalties than there would have been if the nation's political leaders would have shown a united war front.

This party is dangerous. With Democrats controlling the Executive Branch and both Houses of Congress it is no time for Republicans to pretend that these people actually are concerned about the well being of this nation. While in the minority, we need courageous Republicans to defend this nation. The light of individual Freedom and Liberty will be flickering.

I'm more angry at Republicans leaders, Bush included, than Democrats. Afterall, you expect a snake to be a snake. They have known for years what kind of people these Democrats are and they treat them as they are honorable, decent people.

A gentleman’s agreement is only valid among gentlemen.

DemocRATS are dishonorable liars and will do anything to remain in power and gain the upper hand.

Republicans are simply not willing to admit to themselves that while they have been winning the war against our enemies abroad, they have failed to even recognize that we have enemies within.

They better wake up before its too late....

OOPS!....... too late.

I agree. Most of them are spineless jellyfish! They cower under Dems orders to out a Repub that has been caught in a scandal. Then actually throw them out! Meanwhile Dems caught in scandals are allowed to stay and thrive!

We need some Repubs with backbone! They need to stop trying to make friends with the enemy. The Dems are never going to like us, get over it.

It’s time for a new tone in Washington from Repubs. They had better grow a set or be voted out when we get the chance. I think most conservatives are fed up with their cowardly ways!

Will Republicans congressmen, governors, office holders stop treating Democrats as if they are honorable people and live up to their oath of office and start defending this nation?

No.

Unfortunately, republicans have a long history of getting the shit beat out of them then turning around and asking their assailant for an autograph.

I’m starting to doubt the whole bailout “crisis” (yes, I am wearing my tinfoil hat).

I mean it just HAD to be done right that second. No waiting. Stop everything, must have a bailout or our economy will crash!

But a month later and they are still figuring out who to give it to? I know they have given some, but honestly!

As long as we breathe, we must never act as if it is too late, even though it may be, never let this dictate your actions. We owe many not to ever let ourselves think that way, what day is today?

Perhaps it is time for an online petition, so we can send them a message that we want them to expose the democrat and media corruption in this country.

The economic downturn is real. It started last fall and has continued to spiral out of control. The blame can be put at the foot of the democrat run Congress...yet no-one will do it.

Maybe not, but they sure are trying.

Socialist will orchestrate the failure of institutions and businesses, creating the “crises” themselves, this enables government recues (takeovers). Where is this money borrowed from? How is it borrowed from other nations. What stock(?) is being sold?

I read that Rove admits in his forthcoming book that Bush did not respond in a timely and assertive fashion to Democrat attacks all during his administration.

In fact, even through the Clinton years, Republicans let attacks go unchallenged. This has to change.

The DBM will not report GOP responses correctly. They’ll twist the facts, destroy the messenger and decry how mean and partisan the GOP is, but the conservative media will carry the GOP message and those down in the trenches will know that GOP leaders are fighting for them. That will be enough for now.

The way I see it, there’s only two sides to the Good v Evil battle. God said so.

Now, if your entire ideology is based on the flagrant defiant violation of God’s laws, and the promotion of others’ violation - I don’t think that would put you in the “Good” category.

So... yes, you are correct. We must think of the Democrats as promoters of EVIL, and deal with them as such.

While the ‘Rats ability to sink to new lows is boundless, so is the Republicans’ ability to delude themselves.

Even as I write this, there are polls that PROVE that America is a center-right country, yet idiots like Ahnold in CA are urging the GOP to become more like the far left ‘Rats!

As far as I know I have stopped treating the most obvious and rabid Dems with anything but disdain. There are probably some friends who are Dems and until I see those tendencies, I won’t be treating them any differently.

It IS too late to take the step forward that was so desperately needed. Today is the day we take a major step backwards so that tomorrow we can hopefully take a major step forwards. The real question is will we gain yardage in the long run or lose the game as a result?

Everything I know on how to deal with the kind of emotional instability we see in the electorate which voted for the Obama I learned on the Dog Whisperer. Stand up to them, slightly in their space, do not look at their faces, do not speak to them, be calm and confident. Kick them gently on their hindquarters to pull their attention away from some destabilizing influence or initiation or undesired behavior. Keep a short, but loose lease. Keep them walking behind, never in front, pulling.

You couldn’t find a single thread in which to post your vanity as a comment? You’re pissed. Is this really news?
