Palin Innocent in Shopping Spree Scandal, Says Source
WOWoWOW ^ | 11/12/08 | wowowow

Posted on 11/13/2008 5:05:56 AM PST by TopHit

Article in an non-partisan fem website seems pretty believable, despite it being another anonymous source.

"Today, a source close to John McCain’s presidential campaign revealed exclusively to wowOwow that it was two stylists who often do work for CBS journalist Katie Couric who were hired by former CBS News political analyst and McCain senior strategist, Nicolle Wallace, around the time of the Republican National Convention. Wallace had worked for CBS Evening News until May 2008 when she left to work on the McCain campaign. Said the source, "They weren’t given any budget or parameters. They just told the stylists to work for her, because coming from Alaska, she needed a new look. She was a small-town girl who needed to look like a big-city girl."

Wallace is close friends with Couric. Couric would go on to get the second major interview and the longest television time with the former Republican vice-presidential candidate.

The two stylists, whose names have not been released, were the ones who bought the controversial wardrobe that Palin went on to wear. The source said that Sarah Palin "was used to wearing Ann Taylor and then all of a sudden, clothing was being brought in for her family." Concluded the source, "They simply picked out the clothes for Gov. Palin and told her to wear it. The stylists were told not to tell her how much the clothes cost but just to put them on." "

Is this the $150,000 scandal or the second one?

You know, I hate to say it, but it serves McCain right for being stupid enough to hire someone associated with CBS.

If it’s true and they set Sarah up like that, I hope they never work for anyone but Couric who (along with CBS)probably arranged to pay them handsomely for their underhanded dealings.

WHat pieces of crap these Dems are. This needs to get to Drudge and anyone else who will pursue it.

Time and again the Republicans step in it by thinking that Liberals will put their politics aside and be professional. What they don't get is that by being unprofessional those very liberals often raise their esteem among their liberal clients.

Innocent? So now they held a trial?

There was never a scandal or a whit of a problem to begin with. it is all manufactured.

I tell you, the libs and RINO's will stop at nothing to try and destroy this woman.

it.s because they fear and detest her because of her ability to connect with common Americans all over the country. Her appeal was evident not only in the large numbers who came out to see her, but in the excitement generated at those rallies.

She accomplished more in a few short weeks in that regard than other politicians have in a life time.

But they shall completely fail in their attempts to destroy her.

For our part, must do our part to stand in the breech and write our GOP senators and urge them to stand.

At the same time standing up in any way we can ourselves over these next four years until we can turn this OBAMANATION out.

Many more designs here.

Nicole Wallace was the former White House Communications Director, and the “history will judge” mumbo jumbo tells you all you need to know. I dont believe she deliberately sabotaged Palin, she was just totally clueless and incompetent.

Lets make sure this Thread is E-Mailed to Sarah, GRETA, RUSH, Hannity and that POS O’Reilly. A Direct E-Mail should be sent to McPAIN HIMSELF CONFIDENTIALLY TO SEE HOW WALLACE AND DAVIS PERSONALLY SOUGHT TO DESTROY SARAH!
Gee! What a coincidence that Katie Colonic got the first chance to torpedo Sarah! Katie had planted her own spy and Mole in McPAIN’S campaign right under his nose!
No WONDER an Incompetent, Empty Suited, Terrorist Loving, Closet Muslim ZERO was able to Steal The Election from the Ill Chosen Pathetic Candidate McPAIN!
May GOD SHED HIS BLESSINGS ON ALL OF US IN NEED! AND OUR AMERICA!

Why, the hell, is this even an issue? What is Governor Palin supposed to do, shop at K-Mart? If she did so, these same critics would call her on the carpet for being a cheapskate with poor taste.

The more and more stupid crap I read about McCain and his campaign reinforces me that I made the right decision not to support this idiot in the beginning. If it had not been for Sarah Palin, I would have sat the election out. McCain would have been like Bush, tough on the war on terror, and a big spending liberal idiot on everything else, practically being a dimocrat. He was a lame, idiot of a candidate.

If Sarah Palin has to run her entire 2012 campaign in faded blue jeans and boots, I’m OK with that...

I never doubted that this is exactly what happened. And the MSM knew that this was what happened. They knew that she never went on a private shopping spree to Saks and Neiman Marcus because if she had, her traveling press corp would have caught it all on tape. This whole story is a manufactured hit job.
