Bidens to Visit The Cheneys Today
Washington Post ^ | November 13, 2008 | Michael A. Fletcher

Posted on 11/13/2008 10:45:55 AM PST by americanophile

Vice President-elect Joe Biden is scheduled to meet Thursday with Dick Cheney, whom he has said is probably "the most dangerous vice president we've had" in U.S. history. The session is scheduled to take place late in the afternoon at the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory. The two men are to be joined by their wives, Jill Biden and Lynne Cheney. In addition to the meeting, the vice president-elect and his wife are scheduled to take a tour of their new digs. Biden, a 35-year Senate veteran with a deep knowledge of foreign policy, has said he expects to be an "adviser in chief" to President-elect Barack Obama. But his aides have emphasized that he will not run "a shadow operation" -- a pointed reference to Cheney...

There is no excuse for all of these continued gratutious slaps by BO and his minions — except that they reflect continued low-class behavior. It’s telling.

I’m sure they are just gearing up for the war crime trials.

Biden, a 35-year Senate veteran with a deep knowledge of foreign policy...

Being a blowhard and a windbag apparently qualifies as "knowledgable" in D.C. these days. In most of the country, that qualifies you to be a blowhard and a windbag.

That line made me want to puke, too. He may have a smattering of knowledge (thought I doubt it, he was always heavily staffed by people who handed him talking points), but he has absolutely no understanding, let alone wisdom. He is not qualified to clean Cheney’s shotgun.

Note that the Biden people still are insulting the Bush Administration, even after the election.

I was about to point out the same thing. I've left the tv off until this a.m., and heard howard wolfson doing the same thing.

TV went back off.

"Biden, a 35-year Senate veteran with a deep knowledge of foreign policy"

Perhaps wide, but not even close to being deep.

“Deep knowledge of foreign policy” = he remembers when the USA and France threw Hezbollah out of Lebanon.

Cheney to Biden: We gave millions to charities over the last few years, how about you?

Biden to Cheney: Thanks for your service. In return, we’re going to do our best to hold show trials and put you in jail for the rest of your life.

Seems to be 'journalists' rather than politicians and that is why the 'journalists' will remain low down on the food chain.

Cheney is dangerous if being intelligent is dangerous. In contrast, Biden is as a safe as a baby blanket.

Most of his “deep knowledge of foreign policy” is wrong.

Right. Like dividing Iraq into 3 territories, Sunni, Shia and Kurdish. That was one of his more brilliant ideas. God help us.
