Did President-elect Barack Hussein Obama commit a federal crime in September of this year? Or did he never actually register and, instead, did friends of his in the Chicago federal records center, which maintains the official copy of his alleged Selective Service registration commit the crime for him?

It's either one or the other, as indicated by the release of Barack Obama's official Selective Service registration for the draft. A friend of mine, who is a retired federal agent, spent almost a year trying to obtain this document through a Freedom of Information Act request, and, after much stonewalling, finally received it and released it to me.

But the release of Obama's draft registration and an accompanying document, posted below, raises more questions than it answers. And it shows many signs of fraud, not to mention putting the lie to Obama's claim that he registered for the draft in June 1979, before it was required by law.

If you go to the Punahou website they have a story of where he is listed in the yearbook between the N’s and O’Neil so he was using Obama but he didn’t start using Barack until after he had been at Oxy for awhile.

Apparently Hussein can’t read a calendar.

He put today’s date as July 30, 1980, while the postal stamp says July 29, 1980.

I read a couple of months ago that draft registration was not required for a few years, and that Obama’s 18th birthday fell in that period.

When I was 18, I had to register for the draft within 14 days of my birthday. That would make the date around the first part of August in ‘79 not ‘80. I guess he was slack back then also...if he really did fill this out.

I'm forced to entertain the possibility that this could be anything:

1. A messed up record that is real.

2. A forgery on the pro-Obama side.

3. A forgery by the anti-Obama people.

We shouldn't take everything at face value as a precaution but look at all angles carefully. Even then I often end up not sure.

Also city directories. There is a group for that on rootsweb, people who volunteer to lookup their local city directories. Ours locally go back to 1900 or before, one published every year.

Actually I can call the reference desk, and they will check for me or have someone from the genealogy section do just one. They would probably copy the page and mail it to you.

A lot of area codes were changed several years ago due to too many assigned to one number. Mine changed as well as a relative's in another state.

You're right. They sometimes have a few older phone books.

ancestry didn't have much, found two public records. One has her at that addrress with an 808 area code but no phone #. Curiously, it has an entry, an "associated person", a male age about 46, never heard of him before. [I took out the name and personal info for privacy reasons but there was more] By the age it would indicate it came from a 2008 public record of some sort.

I only found a couple more things for that name, one an unemployment record in AK, one in the UK, and can't remember the rest, one on facebook directory in google cache but none in current google results, have to sign up there, and a couple others. It could be a caretaker, security guard, a mistake, anything but that's what came up. The publication was cited as "U. S. Public Records Index, Provo, UT."

How did you claim your children as a dependent back then. What about when Barry was a teenager in the 70s?

From a person who had children "back then", you merely put the names of your dependents on the form. No SS was required. If you went to work you had to have a SS, no matter your age, other than that you didn't have to have one. I got my first one in the summer of 1957 when I was 15 while working at a construction site. BTW, my SS is a CA one and doesn't start with 611.:)

Also, if someone were to bring up grandma's credit record (it can hardly be private, now that she's dead), it'd probably have information going back quite a while.

Obviously there are many unanswered questions about the President-elect but they needed to be asked and answered before the election. The primary person responsible for making the case against Barack Obama was Jon McCain. He never asked these questions. John McCain failed to make the case against Barack Obama. I think this has a real sour grapes appearance. We lost the election. Many people are very ecstatic about this historic election. Calling to get a credit record for his recently deceased Grandmother seems so intrusive and rude.

I think we should ask ourselves how we felt about some of the questions about President Bush, accusing him of using cocaine, exposing the DUI on the eve of the election, and accusations that he has not completed his military service all seemed offensive and politically motivated. Sort of like the calls to investigate President Bush and his administration currently being called for by house Democrats. I think this is certainly something to consider.

Scroll down and to the right and click on it, but don't click on the signature on what looks like a transparent background, got a message asking what I wanted to do with it and cancelled it.

The style is similar, the B starts at the bottom. The combo of the O and b is unique, but anyone who had seen his sig could make it like that. He quit putting in the middle initial. The one at my link has a loop in the B.

My son used to sign things with more clarity but as he got older (38 now) and signs so many things, he scribbles like that.

You wouldn't know who it was from that signature.

Comparing to the supposed prayer note, I notice 2 things. The lower case m's are much more angled like v's and the LORD is done in the same style as the printing on the draft thingie, all caps, but ORD smaller, inconsistently so on the draft reg app.

Too bad re the directory. Sure the Honolulu library would have the whole set.

You got the sig to embed. His sig sure is different, but I'm not sure about that dft reg card or who is really behind it although anomalies noted. Plus I suppose you could get them through FOIA, but not sure.
