The (not) Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread - Friday, November 14, 2008
The E I B Network ^ | 11/14/08 | NOT Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 11/14/2008 8:29:21 AM PST by IMissPresidentReagan

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

We love to hear Rush Limbaugh,
Excellence in Broadcasting.
From sea to shining sea,
Millions and millions listen.
Conservative voice of freedom,
Heard throughout all America.
A message pure and truthful,
The downhearted are encouraged.
Integrity and honesty his motto.
We love you, Rush.
Listen to Rush Limbaugh.
G-d Bless you, Rush Limbaugh.

I dunno who the guest host is.

I don't like our chances for an honest result.

That's why I think the Supremes should step in.

I didn’t watch past the Palin part though. Just a heads up. I didn’t want any more exposure to O’reilly than necessary.

Eventually, no matter how the "final" tally goes, they will.

Stakes are too high.

How is the show? I just found out that Kristy Lee Cook did an CD and I had to get it off iTunes. And listen to it a couple of times. Fantastic. I do not watch Idol but work and listen. It gives a whole different perspective and she clearly had the best pipes. I am just now tuning in.

I had to turn it off then too.

Dennis Miller is great in small doses.

It’s okay. Not great, but better than yesterday. :)

I don’t watch Idol either. I will see all of the contestants when I watch Celebrity Rehab. *L*

I’ve not ever been a huge fan, but he’s okay. Like you said, small doses.

Been out all day- what did Cashen say about the market?

I sure can’t keep track of what it’s doing, much less why. I find this whole meeting in DC this weekend really unsettling- with the ONE exception being that Gordon Brown (has overnight realized socialism doesn’t work) is proposing the WORLD cut taxes way down to improve economies.

“Market is coming back.”

I’d feel a lot better if estimates for next year were more realistic. People are focused on Washington, but when we get closer to December people will have to re-calculate Q4 and CY09. I did for the stocks I focus on and they are pretty much a fantasy.

“Gordon Brown ... is proposing the WORLD cut taxes way down to improve economies.”

No kidding. That would be interesting.

Why did I laugh at that cartoon? It’s not funny. Well, the situation it portrays is not funny...

He predicted the two big drops. Then he said yesterday and today would be critical days to find a bottom which it did yesterday it would seem. Not as much volume he would have liked but still pretty high. Today the bottom had to be tested again and hopefully it's holding up. *knocks on wood*

McCain should have said this during the debate: "The Surge Worked. Thank me!"

I stopped listening to Jason after the second hour. I couldn't take any more. He exhausts me.

I learn a lot from him as he's extremely informed. He goes into subjects where Rush seldom treads. However, that rapid-fire, no-stop, non-cadenced, non-nuanced delivery, coupled with a rather unattractive voice just wore me out.

I'm surprised he doesn't take private elocution lessons from a professional teacher specializing in radio speech and delivery. He could well benefit from it.

I got in one hour's worth of cleaning and sorting my storage shed (Fibber McGee's closet, actually).
