Change. Yeah, we has it 100K is the new "Rich"
Obama's Change Website ^

Posted on 11/20/2008 9:59:28 AM PST by Explodo

Well the details are back up on the Messiahs website and change we got.

Looks like $100k is the new $250

So help me out here, does the change.gov site change daily?

Does this mean if you make over 100K you are considered "Rich"?

I think I need to create a spreadsheet to keep score...Also, I feel like I need to go take a shower...wandering around Change.gov is akin to reading DU

I got this beat! While in the Marine Corps, I had a fellow Corporal, an Afican-American, who told me that I do not understand anything about “common folks problems” because I’ve always had money!

I explained that my father left my mother with four children, no car, no house and no money when I was five years old. She worked three jobs, my brother dropped out of school and took a job and we were on S&H Green Stamps and Food Stamps until I was 14! He said, “You’re lying, you know you have always had it good!”

This is the problem! The systems that are in place are based on gender, race and perceived prejudice. If welfare was changed to be actually based on NEED, I wouldn’t be AS opposed to it as I am!

Or better yet something like this:

When Obama is done, America is going to hope they can change back into a non-Socialist country!

Well, I’m not in a recession, so I don’t know whether I’m indicative of anything.

But I started putting up my christmas lights the day after the election. I needed something to cheer me up. They aren’t ON yet, I restrain myself until Thanksgiving, but I’m hard at work installing them.

I don’t put up as many as I used to, because first my two big trees died (neighborhood disease), and second I’ve gotten into doing a halloween haunted house thing and so I’m already burned out from setting THAT up.

But this year I’m going to get everything up I can. Nobody is taking Christmas away from me......

I was in the Walmart the other day. I black family with what looked like their son were purchasing items in the self check out line. I told them, “In a moment, that machine there is going to give you ‘change you can believe in’.” The young kid laughed but the parents did not and left as quickly as they could it seemed.

I’ll bet ten bucks (recession-style bet) that Obama does NOT keep his promise to his daughters to get a dog for them.

He keeps on pushing back the date when he will get them the pup. Now it’s sometime in the spring of 2009.

Sick days? What are sick days? Just kidding.

I’m actually surprised that some Lib congresscritter isn’t seeking to tax the implied value of accrued but unused vacation time. I believe this is done today on some of my life insurance.

They will apply imputed income to the value of your healthcare plan, versus what it would cost in the free market.

They are currenly applying and imputed income tax to the value of you life insurance.

Wait until they place in imputed tax on the value of your home versus the alternative rental.

Goes like this.....

Your house is worth $300K. Your monthly mortgage nut is $1600 because you put down $50K. The cost to rent your house would be $4K/month. Therefore there is an imputed income of $2500/month to you since you actually own your house.

That $2500 is the straight up difference between the rent and your mortgage nut. Now, add in some multiplier for the equity you have in your home. Let’s say, that you have been living in you home for three years. You have the original $50K in equity. Yet if you were in your home for 15 years your equity would be in the $175K range. Thus they will look to impute some tax on the value of your equity.

Get ready....the Clinton’s and the democRATS tried to do this back in the 1990’s. The best we can hope for is that the democRATS try to seriously over-reach and get bitch-slapped in 2010 like they did in 1994.
