'War criminal' Bush blamed for global crisis
The Australian ^ | 11-22-2008 | From correspondents in Lima

PROTESTERS have demanded that US President George W Bush get out of Peru where he is attending an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, blaming him for the world economic crisis.

"Bush out," about 1000 demonstrators chanted in the centre of the capital Lima, watched by scores of police in riot gear who made sure they did not move towards the APEC summit venue several kilometres away.

"This crisis didn't come from the Peruvian people. We shouldn't have to pay for it," a union leader told the crowd, which demonstrated peacefully.

Mr Bush, one of 21 leaders of Asia-Pacific economies converging on Lima for the weekend summit, arrived shortly after the protest. He was escorted under tight US Secret Service and Peruvian police security from Lima airport to the army headquarters building housing the APEC meetings.

Friday's anti-Bush protest, organised by Peru's biggest labour union, charged that Mr Bush's decision to wage a costly war in Iraq contributed to the financial and economic crises.

"The International Criminal Court should try him for crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression," a big banner next to the main stage for the rally proclaimed.

"Bush - genocide. The Peruvians repudiate your crimes," said another.

"We believe that Bush is responsible for the fall of the financial system," explained Aldo Gil Cristostomo, a 54-year-old mechanic standing near other protesters carrying portraits of Che Guevara.

"The war in Iraq is partly responsible for the fall," he said.

Mr Cristostomo added that, while he had more sympathy for Mr Bush's successor, Barack Obama, he believed the Democrat "is going to maintain the neo-liberal system" championed by the current US president.

Oh for Christ's sake, tthese people are MORONS....

The Democrats, the Mediam and thier Uber-rich foriegn allies spent the last 8 years demonizing George Bush for nothing other than defeating Al Gore despite MASSIVE Democrat voter fraud.

These people blame HIM for the world Economic Crisis. Amd most of us here know that is not the truth.

It shows how far and ho deep and powerful the Anti-Bush Propoganda has been. I wonder who the Dems and the media libs will blame for it all when Bush is gone?

GWB has made it “easy” for many to blame him. He rarely defends anyone except his harshest critics.

So Clinton sides with Albanian Islamofacists, orders the bombing of civilian targets in Serbia (including bridges, power plants and a crowded commuter train) but he is adored by these people.

They just hate America — that's all.

Appeasement, not stooping to an their level, turning the other cheek, making certain to be polite when writing, negotiating with terrorists, maintaining social and familial relationships with liberals, the New Tone, et al: the same. Equal. Rand liked the words: self immolation.

This is also part of why I don’t see Barack Obama as being only a one term POTUS. It also doesn’t help when too many present voters are either too politically ignorant, too politically stupid, or both. This country will really be in a major mess for a very long time, if not forever.

Here is the way I see it.

We are going to be hearing loads of this kind of thing. I am 50 years old, and in that time I have found one constant of human nature that is found overwhelmingly in people like liberals who have the beliefs that they do:

Given a chose between being WRONG and blaming it on someone ELSE, weak minded people will almost ALWAYS choose to blame someone else. Liberals know this, as does the media.

We are going to hear a lot of “Bush’s Fault”.

As much as I agree with you, I know that Bush has ALWAYS acted as a true Christian. Perhaps WE should have done a better job in supporting him.

Now that he is gone our Catholic leaders are freaking out and preparing for war.

We all took Bush for granted, we are all at fault.

I woke up in a pissed-off mood this morning. I'd like to spend five minutes with this "union leader."
"This crisis didn't come from the Peruvian people. We shouldn't have to pay for it," a union leader told the crowd, which demonstrated peacefully.

Mr. Union Leader might want to spend 5 minutes analyzing the billions of dollars Americans have provided Peruvians over the last 50 years, both in charitable aid as well as US taxpayer-funded grants and loans.

Now...who's my next target? I'm on the warpath.
