Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-New York and chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties, has authored a resolution demanding that President Bush refrain from issuing “pre-emptive pardons of senior officials in his administration during the final 90 days of office.”
The resolution, Nadler says, is in response to Bush’s “widespread abuses of power and potentially criminal transgressions against our Constitution.”
The goal, he says, is to prevent “undeserved pardons of officials who may have been co-conspirators in the president’s unconstitutional policies, such as torture, illegal surveillance and curtailing of due process for defendants.”
“This resolution declares that we will not tolerate a last minute attempt by President Bush to shelter his cronies - cronies who may well be guilty of serious criminal offenses - from the full force of the law,” says Nadler

Include Pres. Nixon in your research. He was never impeached, though it appeared imminent, and was pardoned without any charges being filed (Pres. Ford could have waited to see if a pardon was necessary but chose not to).

I hate to go there, but I will: Those Border Agents lied. How hard is it to understand that? These guys are unworthy, but somehow they have followers. I am a police officer who doesn’t lie/screw around, I take my job seriously. Once you lie, don’t expect the posse to swarm protectively.
Sort of like what happens to innocent babies in an abortion, which procedure Obama and the Democrats love so much.

He can ask in any resolution he wants whatever but it has to get passed and even so, pardons belong to the President and they occur without the congressional seal of approval. Ask Clinton and everyone else before Clinton.
I think the President has too much class to let loose the same type of felons Clinton let loose.
That said, Nadler can kiss my ass.

Nadler needs remedial legislation instructions. Pardons? Are ABSOLUTE. No government branch can rescind them. The only person a President cannot pardon is himself. (And that can be worked around with a deal with your VP)
Donald Trump once had this to say about Nadler:
“I really feel that whatever can inspire him to go out and lose that tremendous amount of weight should be done. To be honest with you, he’s a walking time bomb and if I can convince him to put himself, not in great shape, but in reasonable shape, I’m doing a great service to him and his family.”
...I hope Bush has the backbone to issue the pardons. The dems made it necessary with their prosecution rhetoric....
I’m afraid he doesn’t. Or at least, he just doesn’t see it that way. He was raised in such a decent family with a decent father, he just doesn’t understand what the opposition will to do win - ANYTHING.
He assumes that history will judge him kindly. It well may. But, history is a long way from today, and the years in between may be even less kind that the past 8 to President Bush and his administration.
I think he and many conservatives absolutely underestimate the legal problems that will be brought by the coming administration. It’s going to be ugly.
Nadler and his ilk are more responsible for the incompetence that led to 9/11 than any other Americans. The fact that Nadler and fellow leftist douchebags have not been totally discredited forever in the past 7+ years shows the malicious disgrace of the MSM and the ineptitude of the Bush admin.
The best thing to do with Nadler is to drop him on one of those Al Qaeda safe houses in Waziristan. That would be a big deterrent for terrorists of the future.
