The JFK Assassination: Your Theories Please
Pajamas Media ^ | November 24 | Ron Rosenbaum

Two massive books by Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartmann, most recently Legacy of Secrecy have me going back to the Mob hit theory although I just don’t buy their unnecessary post-assassination cover-up theory which involves a supposed coup against Castro. Like that was more shameful than the murder of a president. But they’ve done a service by digging up the deepest, darkest, most disturbing archival evidence to support their Mob hit theory.

Anyway, I’m interested: what do people think, those of you who still think about it? Some may say, who cares we’ll never know, it’s old news, but I’m not satisfied with that. Historical truth means a lot to me. At one point LBJ said nuclear war was at stake. I want to know if there was someone behind Oswald and why. It’s more important than how Yale could allow Harvard to score two touchdowns (and two two-point conversions) in 42 seconds–though I still can’t reconcile myself to that either...

The only viable multiple-shooter theory I’ve heard is: one of the SS agents with JFK was equipped with the then-newfangled AR15, and being inadequately familiar with it had an accidental discharge when Oswald started firing - and AD’d right into JFK. Second shooter, no conspiracy to implement & protect, easily covered-up accident under the circumstances.

I’m still going with Oswald alone.

I was sold on the lone assassin theory until E. Howard Hunt confessed. I now think that he, Sturgis and the whole Operation 40 crowd had a role. A small and tight conspiracy.

My theory is the Warren Commission got it right and Lee Oswald was the lone assassin.

I now almost expect to be banned for spreading a tinfoil-hat theory.

And why so many completely unrelated JFK threads in one day?

“There were TWO gunmen, unknown to each other, but arranged by the mob.”

Could have been Jack Ruby...why else would he shot Oswald? To keep him “quiet” perhaps?

So many wanted to get him, I’m surprised they didn’t shoot each other at Daly Plaza.

That's beginning to sound like the Onion article where he was shot 129 times from 43 different locations.

Jack and Ruby, complicated matters for me.I was never sure of his motivations. However, That was one freakish week end and a lot of unpredictable emotions and actions came out over JFK's assassination.

Lee Harvey Oswald, a deeply disturbed individual, shot President Kennedy.

He acted alone.

That's my theory.

Not saying it’s true, but in the 1992 film one of the conspirators looked a lot like L. Mendal Rivers (House Armed Services Chair) and he was seen racing to the airport (police & sirens) shortly after the first reports. Howard Hunt and Nixon may have also been involved. But if you want to KISS then go with a nut with a rifle.

Lee Harvey Oswald.

Possibly encouraged by Castro’s people. I’m not positing any huge conspiracy. Oswald was a pro-Castro communist, and it’s possible that some Cuban agent told him “you want to kill Kennedy? Great idea!”

Kennedy, like 100 million other people in the the 20th century, was killed by a commie. The left has a very hard time accepting this.

Saturday was the anniversary so there have been a lot of news stories about it.

For me, it boils down to whether or not Oswald shot Officer Tippit, and there is some dispute about that, as there is about everything in the JFK assassination.

The only reason Oswald would have to shoot Tippit is if he were escaping from the assassination scene.

He supposedly used a .38 Special S&W revolver in the murder, but one of the first officers on the scene identified shell casings found there as being from .38 semi-auto.

Did Oswald Shoot Tippit?

An experienced policeman and a former combat Marine both said an automatic pistol was used (as opposed to Oswald's revolver). Moreover, the policeman, Sgt. Gerald Hill, based his automatic-pistol identification on the shell casings. As any firearms expert can attest, it's very easy to distinguish between automatic shells and revolver shells. What's more, in a 1986 interview, Hill said he knew the shells were .38-caliber shells because he picked one of them up and examined it. This is significant because .38 automatic shells are marked ".38 AUTO" on the bottom. Hill specifically said he looked on the bottom of the shell that he examined. It is no wonder, then, that Hill got on the radio and said "the shells at the scene indicate that the suspect is armed with an automatic .38."

It's amazing how all the JFK conspiracy theorists share all have one trait in common: they all write in an incoherent style.
