Fox News announced that after 12 years, Alan Colmes will be leaving the top-rated "Hannity & Colmes" at the end of the year. “I approached Bill Shine (FNC’s Senior Vice President of Programming) earlier this year about wanting to move on after 12 years to develop new and challenging ways to contribute to the growth of the network," Colmes said in a statement. "Although it’s bittersweet to leave one of the longest marriages on cable news, I’m proud that both Sean (Hannity) and I remained unharmed after sitting side by side, night after night for so many years.” Sean Hannity said Colmes was "a remarkable co-host," "great friend," and "skillful debate partner.” Colmes will remain a Fox commentator, and continue hosting "The Alan Colmes Show" on Fox News Radio. Also, he's developing a weekend show.

“My problem with Colmes is that he says all that crap and you know he doesn’t really believe it but has to mouth it because he is the token liberal on Fox.”

Would that not, then, make Colmes a Mawworm?

I will, of course, agree with you that Hannity was doing his best to expose Obama prior to the election. My comments were only with regard to what I guess you would call his style, and I can't watch him unless I really, really want to hear a particular guest.

I've been hunting hard since bow season opened 10/1. Got a decent buck weekend before last, nothing trophy but he sure does eat good! I'm watching a monster on a trail cam, but the signs look like rut is starting and he may travel out of my hunting area. I was covered up in little does and spikes yesterday evening. Had to stay in the stand way past dark and finally called my husband to bring in a vehicle so that they would scatter without busting me! Anyway, I've got 2 more months to go, so I'm still really pumped that I will get a trophy.

Always great to hear from you, my FRiend.

Here’s a conspiracy for you. I wonder if the new Obama Admin offered Colmes some type of job. Obama I am sure loathes Hannity for all of his exposes about Obama’s terrorist ties, etc. What better way to get back than to break up Hannity and Colmes. Of course the whole in my theory is that Hannity will just get another Colmes clone to replace him. I thought Beckel might be the choice, as Hannity and Beckel like each other socially and are friends in spite of their political differences, just as Hannity and Colmes like each other outside of the show. Actually, I think Susan Estrich would be a fun addition to the show, if I could stand the sound of her voice. I don’t like Kirsten, she bugs me. Seems wound tight to me. Hennican bugs me too. He’s so swarmy. Will probably be someone none of us have even considered.

I agree -- Hannity and Beckel would work better than any of the others you mentioned. I think Bob's the odds-on favorite for the job.

I can't imagine Colmes' own show on FNC would even come close to succeeding.

Actually, I’ve changed my mind. I want Jerry Springer. Now that would be a hoot!
