Sigh...........
My brother's oldest son has two sons. Those kids have everything. They do not walk into a store that they are not wanting the latest toy, video game, whatever. I have told my brother and sister in law that those two kids have so much stuff they do not know what they have. You name it, they have it. Play with it a week or so and bam, it is in a box, in a closet, in the room downstairs. Recently my sister in law filled up six large boxes of stuff that they no longer played with. She took it down stairs in their house and told them she was giving it to the Salvation Army. The kids went nuts. YOU CANNOT GIVE AWAY OUR STUFF!!! When asked the last time they played with it, they could not remember. They had even forgotten about some of the stuff that she had boxed up. She took it away and you would have thought the world ended. Oh, well until the next day, when her daughter in law took them to Toys R Us and bought them over $100 worth of crap.
Damn. Not a good way to go. RIP.
I’ll bet they name an elementary school after him.
Valley Stream is in Nassau County and just outside of NYC (Queens). There was nothing much to Valley Stream when that shopping center went in some fifty years ago. Now it has grown as the area population has. It is the local shopping area and had become rather crowded the last time I was there, some years ago.
Sounds like maybe a good lawsuit will help WalMart rethink its Black Friday shopping process. I don’t understand the allure of Black Friday.
“He was bum-rushed by 200 people,” said Jimmy Overby, 43, a co-worker. “They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too...I literally had to fight people off my back.””

I am from back east and my wife is from out west.
We went to one of these kinds of sales and I told her to stand back and let me fight over what we wanted.
She did not believe me until she saw it happen and she was glade she had stood out of the way.
Hope the perps got that $300 laptop. Hey if you can legally kill babies and old people, what’s a Walmart greeter here and there?
Another example of wrongful worshipping of the almighty $$$$.
Rather than opening up the sales to anyone, why can’t they identify their loyal customers by tracking purchases or by self-identification during the year and allow them to take advantage of special bargains at Christmas? At it is, the bargains go to the able-bodied jerks who push and shove to get what they want. I have little doubt that most of the people in these crowds probably didn’t realize there were injured people there until they were literally on top of them and that the push from the outside was complicating matters. I just think the store ought to focus on those who support them throughout the year and offer them deals without requiring a post-Thanksgiving rush.
Watch out for falling prices...

Just tattoo the mark of the beast ‘666’ on their forehead and be done with it.
I heard a news story on the radio this morning—a woman who got in line early at the local Wal-Mart was waiting to pay for her x-box when another customer ran by and grabbed it out of her hands.
When did people start acting like farm animals?
bad link.
I went to Super Walmart last night to get dog food. The store was almost empty, so I picked up some stuff. The Walmart depicted in the article must not stay open 24/7. However, what can possess people to want something so badly that they will ignore all courtesies to get something cheap? I avoid store crowds, and am disgusted at the mob rule when it comes to doing something so ordinary. It’s too bad these kinds of people can’t get so serious about the real issues that we are facing. Every person who was part of the crowd, was guilty of manslaughter. Whether volunary or involuntary, they killed someone because of their greed.
I hope his family sues Wal-Mart big time.
Yes, I really do.
I just feel enormous disgust when cameras, inside a store, show the onrush of people, pushing and running to be the first inside -— to get at bargains, and usually non-essentials. What a materialistic world we are in.
Maybe it is because I HATE shopping, but I just don’t understand the need for this sort of mayhem. Sure people get bargains, but why stage such spectacles to get them? Greed on dispay?
Now that’s change.
How far along was the woman who suffered the miscarriage in the melee?
Just heartbreaking.
