GMA Celebrates Britney's Crotch-Kicking Return
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

If Britney Spears wants to launch her grand return with a trite and tacky rough-sex pantomine, I suppose that's her business. She's not known as a pop tart for nothing. What I do find noteworthy is the way GMA celebrated that bit of rough stuff, featuring it in its opening minutes. Even there, it's not ABC's descent into schlock that jumps out so much as the double standard. Can you imagine the dutifully feminist ABC applauding such junk if the gender tables had been turned? Me neither.

Diane Sawyer, uh, teased things during the show opening.

Is she still on a record label owned by the same conglomerate that owns ABC?

Either that or he’s loaded and well connected and she knows what she has to do if she wants money after the drugs and booze effect can’t be concealed anymore.

I also don’t think too many men wanted to possibly be subjected to her constant girl power idiocy. It’s another reason men don’t want to marry Oprah or Maureen Dowd, they don’t want to be subjected to their feminist experiments and be bragged about as being perfect doormats.

Britney is beautiful and I’m sick of people bashing her. Christina Aguilera has to have some issues because her music videos like “Beautiful” seriously disturbing.

After dealing with angsty psuedo-artistic twits proclaiming their “anti-Britney” virtue I like hearing happy pop stuff.

If Spears hadn’t gotten the job with Disney, she’d be a stripper in Newport Kentucky by now.

Either that or breeding on a regular basis. We’d also never know about Kevin Federline.

The irony is K Fed is the adult here, and by all accounts is doing a pretty good job with their kids.

For that, I give him all the credit in the world. Lord knows that can’t be easy.

As far as I know, she’s never had problems with substance abuse. I’m pretty sure that I remember reading somewhere that at their wedding reception, she made some sort of toast to her husband’s very large private parts. And, yes, I am very ashamed that I ever knew this.

It’s funny that back in the late 90s/early 00s, Britney was both more famous and considered more wholesome, so Xtina (as she apparently wanted to be called back then...I guess she thought it was edgier?) started to slut it up with the assless pants, making out with other women, etc. And now she has cleaned up her act, while Britney became the skank for a while.
