Watching Fox News. The commentator (Brett ?) just mentioned the question about Hillary's eligibility to be SoS
AND
He mentioned the upcoming December 5 review at the Supreme Court.
Are we getting somewhere??
Which case are they hearing? I mean who brought it? I hope whoever brought it knows their stuff. Bringing a weak case or being unprepared does no good.
Maybe Brett was referring to the fact that the first filing to SCOTUS was mishandled by a clerk and Souter - and tossed. Then, the second "case" would be the one Thomas will bring to conference on Friday. All it takes is 4 to refer to full review. That's MY take on it, but I could be wrong.

As usual, a whole lot of echo-chambering. The chances of Hillary being found ineligible for the SoS are about equal to her chances of suddenly being arrested. In other words, Hillary Clinton will be Secretary of State.
People should ask themselves if they really believe whoever Obama would appoint NEXT, someone like Cindy Sheehan or Michael Moore most likely, would be a better choice.

Natural Born citizen:
Born Citizen = Anybody who received citizenship at birth.
Natural Citizen = Anybody who received citizenship without going through immigration/naturalization.
Natural Born Citizen = Combination of Above
Son of Two illegal Immigrants born in US = Natural Born Citizen
If Obama was born in Hawaii, he is a natural born citizen and the SC will tell you as much. You are either a natural born citizen or naturalized citizen, if Obama is not naturalized he is natural born, simple as that.
Hillary, as SoS, would only be become POTUS if Obama is sworn in and Biden (VP) and Pelosi (House Speaker) cannot or will not serve.
I THINK Amendment XX suggests that Biden would serve in the interim while a new President is chosen, should Obama become ineligible after the Electoral College vote and prior to taking the oath of office.
“...if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified.”

Naturalized - born on foreign soil and took on American citizenship.
Native Born - born on American soil of one or two non-citizens. My son is native born as my husband is Canadian and I am American. Our son was born on American soil.
Natural born - Born on American soil of two American citizens. Either the parents are both born on American soil, or the parents can be naturalized, but the child must be born after the parents take on citizenship.
Curious, you have any good sources about “native born” citizenship? Its not a got-you question, I honestly want to learn more.
In an early draft of the constitution Hamilton wrote “No person shall be eligible to the office of President of the United States unless he be now a Citizen of one of the States, or hereafter be born a Citizen of the United States.” This is the earliest draft of the natural born requirement for presidency, and I believe its consistent with my interpretation.

That is half of the problem, his own relatives in Kenya say he was born in Kenya. If that is true, and his mother flew to Hawaii and had him a birth certificate issued, it is not valid as proof. And there is no records of his being born in any hospital in Hawaii, and only a 'press release' birth announcement, which anyone can do. There is no proof of actual U.S. birth yet, but Obama could easily settle it by unsealing his hidden documentation. Why it it hidden?
