RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles has joined seven other dioceses in passing a resolution asking the church to let lesbians as well as homosexual men become bishops.
The vote at the diocesan convention rejected the Episcopal Church's de facto moratorium on electing homosexual bishops since its 2003 consecration of Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire, who lives with his same-sex partner. The resolution will be considered at the Episcopal Church's national convention next July.
The Los Angeles diocese also expressed support for homosexual "marriage" with the creation of the "Sacramental Blessing for a Life-long Covenant."
If there are, indeed, any Christians left in the American Episcopal Church it is high time they bailed out before it is they who commit a sin against God by remaining.
They all belong to the “Poop on Privates For God” crowd.
Has this so called church not split yet
Prophets of Baal.
They did bail and made it formal last week I believe. The Catholic Church is getting a lot of Episcopal priests converting. The Episcopal Church is dying on the vine and what’s left will be in name only.
I wonder what other ‘relevation’ this church is going to have next? Hmmm, sleeping with daughters/sons as a commandment? Animials? Cannibalism as a sacriment? I mean, why stop at homosexuality .... God was pretty explicit on this topic, and since this church knows better ... I just am curious as to what is the next stance they can take?
S*** on a S**** ?
And here is what they do to the Epispocal priests who dare to question. The Archdiocese has been on a witch hunt to get this Episcopal priest after the vestry voted to split away.

Oddly, the liberal Episcopal Church was my last stop to Orthodox Judaism.
The last part of the schism is an interesting one, because both the new North American Anglican Diocese and the Episcopalians claim to still be in the Anglican communion.
I suspect that what needs to happen is for a clean division in the Church of England, that would be moderated by Queen Elizabeth II, in her role as “Supreme Governor of the Church of England”. This essentially says that while both churches are no longer in the Anglican communion, that Elizabeth would remain the pro forma Governor of both.
This would allow them to divide, and divide property, likely with a purely democratic vote of British Anglicans, that would then be duplicated in Canada and Australia.
The nomination of new bishops in either church would be interesting, as currently it is done by the government. But this has proven to be diabolical and unsatisfactory in past, and led to the decline of the CofE.
The Anglican communion would no longer tolerate fools like Archbishop Rowan Williams and his antics, like being a Druid high priest. So they would request autonomy from the crown, insofar as the appointment of clergy.
I’m sure that this will increase Sunday service attendance. Just think of all of the GLBT converts they will get.
Immoral morons.
These heretics really should start their own worship organization. They belong not in any Christian church because they read not and abide not by the teachings in the bible.
Yes. Orthodox Anglicans voted to create a new province, The Anglican Church in North America. It include four dioceses which have voted to leave the episcopal church, plus numerous other congregations and several smaller groups who left the episcopal church earlier, some a long time ago.
They have been snubbed by the homosexual cadres of the "official" church but welcomed by the multitudes of the fervent Church of the Southern hemisphere, where all the life is these days.
going down the road recently my passenger said of an Episcipal Church, “hey there’s one of those Despicable Churches”...now I know what they meant.
Liberals are clearly trying to destroy the Episcopal Church in America, from the top down. It’s unbelievable.
???
What does God have to do with the American Episcopal Church?
Didn't they excommunicate Him years ago?
The worldwide Anglican Communion is NOT headed, formally or informally by Queen Elizabeth II. The Church of England is (formally) but while the CofE is the central Church in the Communion technically, the Archbishop of Canterbury is only kind of an organizer of a league of national and independent (as in the USA) Church denominations; he is not a defacto pope.
A majority of Anglicans, represented by their bishops, already recognize the new Anglican Province of North America (a PROVINCE, not merely a Diocese) and weather the CofE’s incompetant head Rowan Williams does or not, will not affect how “Anglican” this new province is.
