Possibly control. The Democrat and Republicans think they can manipulate and control Obama with this information. By not putting it to rest, it really does him a diservice, but he will make a great "Uncle Tom" aka, house ...
My guess is that he is a natural born citizen but his father is not who he claims it to be. It was sensationalized by the media that his father was from Kenya, thus making him a “real african-american”. If his real father were to be made public it would cause more meyhem than him not being eligible for the POTUS.

I know Biden is the gaffe King, but does anyone wonder if he found out too late that this was a possibility and was trying to dissuade the election because this was his one shot and he might not even get in because of the ineligibility?
I swear at the end it seemed that he was trying to keep Obama from being elected.

If Obama, Sr. claimed Obama, Jr as his son, then the issue of the Kenyan citizenship would still be a problem, I’d think, regardless of who the father really is. Legally, Obama would still have inherited his citizenship from his legal father who, we are told, is Obama, Sr.
Now if his natural father was someone else, as long as it isn’t listed on the birth certificate, then it would seem that Obama couldn’t get citizenship from an unidentified individual. And if he was born in Kenya, sired by an unnamed man, and if his mother was not old enough to pass on her citizenship.....then what happens?
This blackout is a double edged sword because the MSM is up against a new trend of news and information that the public is using every day now on their PDA, Blackberry Zune etc. and they care not to listen to the talking heads, they care not to be captive audiences to commercial advertising, most people have options to record what they want to hear or see now, from music to movies America now has a choice.
And they chose to ignore the MSM, they are choosing to find internet news instead, America will not accept the censorship of the airwaves.
America will not support the MSM and WILL let them shrivel on the vine because of the lack of viewers being captive to advertising.
The steam engined powered media has just found out the Indians are cutting up the tracks and toppling the water tanks.

Convinced??? LOL I only found one FRer that was willing to say that he thought otherwise. It’s not like it was a close election. By bringing it up now while he is popular, he will be able to claim it is old news when he becomes unpopular, if that happens (hopefully)
Good catch. I wish we could get a break from such nonsense. We just have to keep in mind that these guys make money by selling newspapers or advertising, or whatever it is they sell. So they hype things up, they try to get people to buy their product, and if they do land some kind of scoop they try to hoard it for themselves so that they alone can profit from it. That’s what business they’re in.
Because the case brought before them was stupid. The case hinged on the belief that Obama is not a natural born citizen because his father was a British subject at the time.
The media may have slipped. By reporting that the SC refused to issue a stay in the Donofrio case, they alerted a lot of people that there MIGHT be a problem. The word is spreading and the only people fighting against Obama releasing his BC and other documents are the moonbats who worship Obama.

I think this is spot on. It also shows that the case is being followed closely but it being deliberately unreported. Why? For a variety of reasons. Some reasonable. Some not so reasonable.
If SCOTUS takes up the issue then this story will be third page news.
And then its hard to know what will happen.
