NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A rare snowfall blanketed south Louisiana and parts of Mississippi Thursday, closing schools, government offices and bridges, triggering crashes on major highways and leaving thousands of people without power.

The wintry weather is rare in south Louisiana, though the state's northern parishes see it about once a year. New Orleans' last snowfall, in 2004, was a dusting that came nine months before Hurricane Katrina struck. The record snowfall for the city is about 5 inches, recorded Dec. 30, 1963.
The weather service said the previous earliest date for measurable snowfall in New Orleans was Dec. 22, 1989.

The timing is exquisite. Yesterday, the 8 person California “Air Resources Board passed GW rules to comply with AB32 which are all but guaranteed to wreck the California economy.
It appears to me that the tens (maybe hundreds) of billions of dollars already spent to combat GW have worked too well ;>) . They better stop soon are we are all going to perish in the cold.

That is not snow. Must be fallout from the global co2 emmissions. Co2 snow. Not H2O. The cold front turne the Co2 from the emmissions of Washington politicians in to fallout in the South.
When I was a kid black folks cornered the lantern holding jockey market. Looks like there’s been some reverse affirmative action happening.

It may be my imagination, but it seems to me that we’re not hearing much about Global Warming from the lib whackos as much as we were. Now they’re calling “Climate Change” so that they can explain ANY weather condition as being our fault. Business as usual from these liars.

I live and work in New Orleans and yesterday was such a fun day. Unfortunately, it ended by 10 AM and was pretty much melted by noon. Last time we had a significant snowfall was on Christmas Day, 2004. That was followed by a very active hurricane system, including Hurricane Katrina. I hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

This storm complex was almost identical to the storm of ‘93 that dumped 38” of snow here on the Cumberland Plateau of SE Tennessee. The only difference was that we didn’t have cold air sitting on us this time. If we had, we’d all be shoveling right about now.....
