Sen. John McCain said Sunday he would not necessarily support his former running mate if she chose to run for president. Speaking to ABC's "This Week," McCain was asked whether Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin could count on his support. "I can't say something like that. We've got some great other young governors. I think you're going to see the governors assume a greater leadership role in our Republican Party," he said. He then mentioned governors Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Jon Huntsman of Utah.

Whatever, McCain. You're pretty much irrlelvant these days, anyway.
In fact, your refusal to endorse Sarah is probably a benefit to her.
You know, actually, I'm glad he lost. Because now, all his Democrat buddies are going to get the blame they deserve. God bless you Sarah, most of us out here *know* how cool you are. As for the jerk that catapulted you to fame, F him.

It doesn’t take me too long....LOL
McCain was NEVER going to get my vote. I am certain that I was not alone holding that sentiment among conservative types.
btw, did you see the article where MCCain’s top pollster and campaign manager appeared at Harvard and were asked about not using Wright? The pollster said, well if we used Wright we would have gotten 273 EV but we would have lost the popular vote big.
Uh, who cares about the popular vote. If you had gotten the 273 EV that means you win.
It’s like The Patriots complaining they won the Super Bowl last year because they got more total yards than the Giants.
And Obama’s guy said Palin totally ended McCain’s experience argument even though McCain crushed Obama 93-7 on experience in the exit poll, a much greater amount than Obama beat McCain by on change.
Maybe what hurt McCain was totally losing control for a few days in late September, suspending his campaign, threatening to quit the debate, heading to DC to lead talk that ended in failure and revolt by his own oarty, and then continuing to harp on earmarks even as he just voted to spend 700B in taxpayer money that far dwarfs any earmarks.
Palin did she was put there for in the main. She kept the % of white women up near where it needed to be(actually increased over GWB from 2004 in FL), and 10-15 pts higher than McCain was polling throughout the summer and after the Dem Convention. She kept close to 20% of Hillary voters, especially in states like OH, PA, FL and other key states. She got GOP support at 90% and conservative support at near 80% when those numbers seemed unthinkable for McCain at one point and certainly would have been with Ridge or Lieberman. She made sure the pro lifers and the gun owners and NRA were on board which probably won him MO and would have been the difference in NC, IN and OH. She gave him his first sustained lead of the campaign for close to 2 weeks before the economic collapse finished him off. She actually got his fundraising going for a few days before it didn’t matter anymore because he basically disarmed himself by agreeing to the public financing.
Anyone who knows anything about politics knows that she’s way down the list of why McCain lost, and to be honest, once the economy tanked in September, he really had no shot of winning.
If she had known that would happen back in August she would have declined the offer.
But things happen.
*\;-)
“So let me get this straight McCain, she was qualified to be the Vice President of the United States, but you wont endorse her in 4 years to run for President, Ok John, actually I am kinda grateful that he did not endorse her, his endorsement is like the kiss of death, Sarah needs to distance herself from that RINO”
He most likely wants to endorse Schwarzenegger. After all if McCain and Obama could run, Schwarzennegger can too! It does not matter any more if the President is a “natural born” citizen. The Constitution doesn’t matter to any of them anyway. :(
Somehow, I think in the back room she told him he was not fighting hard enough. I wondered if he had the stones to be president at all. She had more backbone than he did and he is just a jealous old loser at this point and he cannot get over it. He cannot blame his own lack of strength, so he must blame her for the loss. Let him go. She is the future, even if he cannot face it.
F@#K John McCain and the RINO he rode in on, he is a pos in every sense of the word.
IF Sarah Palin decides to make a run for the Presidency in 2012, the last thing she needs is an endorsement from McCain who has been living on the dark side for years and by that time may even have become a Democrat.
So, I guess he is not a war hero any longer.
I've had it with that pompous ass.
Come on Gang. I endorse Sarah. I expect that others do not right now.
Therefore, as a veteran, I'd like to tell you to take your baseless accusations of cowardice on the battlefield and cram them into your sigmoid colon.
How hard would it have been for him to say something like, "I'll support whomever we nominate, but going into this thing, you bet I'd like to see her win. She'd be a terrific President." Wouldn't burn any bridges with anybody who might eventually win. Wouldn't cost him in any other way. I really think he just got jealous of her popularity, and is looking for a scapegoat for his own failures. Bastard.
I look forward to voting against him in the 2010 Republican primary. I would like to see Jeff Flake kick his ass. John McCain, you served your country bravely, now do one more honorable thing and GET OUT.

You have to give McCain credit for putting Sarah on the ticket. That we are talking about a formerly little known governor of Alaska in terms of her being a superstar is a major miracle in itself. But that’s as charitable I am going to get towards McCain. McCain-accept the fact that your time has come and gone. Get out of the way-Sarah is about to come through.
I hope she tosses him into dustbin of history and emerges victorious without him.
What McCain should have said was that if Sarah did enter the 2012 Presidential contest she would ba a formidable candidate, but as she has not formally entered yet, my policy is to not to comment on whether I support anybody before they even enter any contest. Ask me that same question if she enters the race.
