Today President Bush traveled to Carlisle, Pennsylvania and spoke to the US Army War College about national security and the war on terror. The President also thanked the veterans in the audience for their service. (Transcript)
I know many of you have served overseas in the war on terror. This weekend, I was honored to make one final trip to the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan. During my trip, I had the opportunity to spend time with men and women in uniform, and I've got to tell you, there is nothing better, to be the Commander-in-Chief, and stand in front of brave souls who bring such dignity to the United States of America. (Applause.)
They say, what are you going to miss? I'm most going to miss being the Commander-in-Chief. It is amazing to serve with people who are willing to stand up and step forward to address the great challenge to freedom and democracy of our time. We have been called to action, and many have agreed to serve.
I thank you for having given me the honor of a lifetime to serve as your Commander-in-Chief.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
Thanks for all your hard work, Jonny! Lots of great pictures
of our President. The time is ticking and he is making the
best use of it during his last days in this historic moment
in time.

Hope You & Your Dad have a Happy CHRISTmas and a restored to healthy,New Year!!
President Bush remained true to himself and to his country. Our citizens turned their backs on him.
There sure are lots of somber, sad faces in that military audience listening to him. I am sure they feel the country has betrayed them too.
I say to President Bush and Laura Bush, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Thank you for 8 years of steadfast dignity. I will miss you very much.
After four years of the Obamanation, their memories will be altered, and President Bush will look good by comparison.
Thank you, jonny .. for another memorable (but sadly dwindling) Dose.
I don’t think I know of any other CIC who has such love and honor for our troops. I think the military is going to see a big contrast in that treatment in the time to come.
I also think SecDef Gates is really to be honored and greatly thanked. He wanted to go home after this, but I believe he truly put duty to country before self in giving this additional year, and he WILL temper and neutralize the radical one’s ideas. God bless him.
I note the stockings on the fireplace .. all hung with care .. and where’s Henry? LOL. Poor Henry.
God bless Pres. Bush and family with peace and joy this Christmas. He can rest easy in the knowledge that he has never veered from his principles and his primary duty: protecting and securing our blessed country.
His charge was kept with intrepidity and integrity, and he and Laura will always be known for restoring honor back to the White House, and raising the bar to the highest levels of dignity in public office.
I’m still Keeping your Dad in my Prayers Everyday, Snugs. God Bless.
